I just heard another JB song on RU-vid that came out in the late 70’s titled, Just Like Forever. How that song never made it to an album is beyond my comprehension. Look for it!
Hi Joey, I tried clicking on the link for your Facebook to become friends but it didn't work and didn't take me to your Facebook page at all. Where are you based out of? Are you in USA?
The most beautiful Poem-Song of “The Rock Era” when I heard this Long Version I was blown away They should’ve allowed him the time to play this song on Radio Stations completely (Like they did with The Beatles “Hey Jude”) woww every time I hear this Masterpiece on this version it brings back memories from the late 60’s & early 70’s those Childhood memories that somehow shape our entire lives! 😊
@@JoeyMcGowan1 Joey, Who are some folk artists you enjoy listening to a lot? Have you ever listened to British singer-songwriters, Ralph McTell or Allen Taylor? Or Jackson C. Frank, American singer-songwriter? One of his more well known songs and covered a lot is "Blues Run the Game." He had a very sad and tragic life and he passed away around 199 He only had one album out but there are some other songs around after that album. I am a huge folk music fan.
@@suzannelawson9215 , Certainly, know them all. My all time favorite Folk Artist was my late friend Tony Bird from Southern Africa. He made three Albums, but left an incredible archive of unreleased gems.
@@JoeyMcGowan1 I have heard of Tony Bird but not familiar with his work. I will have to look him up. I really like your song, "Aging Love." Is it about your life, if you don't mind me asking? I can relate to that song myself.
@@suzannelawson9215 the first two verses taken from a poem by my friend Craig. It is certainly true for him. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CXg4omyYyRI.htmlsi=XFx_CR2-q1AAJSJa
Joey, this is one great song. So heartbreaking and such intense moving lyrics. I am older too and can relate. You have written a truely beautiful song.
Loved Phil. That he’s gone makes me sad every day. We still have Bob. We still have Paxton, and Joan, and Buffy, and Judy, and Yarrow, WHY not Phil!!!!!!!!!!????????????😥😥😥
What a great find. It's a shame more people have not heard this. This is the version that hedge and Donna sang. I heard their version before I even heard Jackson browne's version. Thanks for posting
Thank you for posting this. Wow that was a real epic performance and so glad i got to hear the full original version of this great song. It must have been really difficult having to work out which great lines to cut. To get it down to the regulation 3 minutes (approx) for the single version. Congratulations Mr Lind you did a fantastic job 👍😃
Fred Neil has got to be in the pantheon of GREAT American singer-songwriters/troubadours...A huge influence on countless of so many singer songwriters. And his 12-string guitar work was so cool...influenced Crosby, McGuinn....etc.
Thanks so much! A new recording I have not heard. I wish he hadn't been such a recluse. I would have loved to hear him live. But by the time I was born he had already gone back to Florida to hide out and love on dolphins. I can't blame him. But I wonder if kept playing and recoding from home. I hope so. Where is the little kid pictured with him on his self titled album?
"The Dolphins" has to be one of the most beautiful songs ever written/ I never tire of it.Same goes for 'Everybody's Talking'. Thanks so much for this live recording.
Thanks for posting this, it's really interesting and incredible to be able to hear live recordings like this one. Please can you write me some biographical information about her? I can't find anything on the web. For example: where was she born? is she still alive? what has she done in her life besides making these wonderful songs present on the web? Thank you!
I was around when this song first came out. I told my Dad that I liked it and the next day by my lunch money was a note that read "Elusive Butterfly" and an arrow pointing to a 45 rpm vinyl disc. Of course it was not the long version, that had to wait until someone uploaded it to youtube decades later. Thank you for posting this long version. It is icing on the cake my Dad served me long ago.
