if you want it sweeter then use honey. Also if you don't have potato starch I've done it with corn starch and it was fine. Corn starch will not keep it's crispy/crunchy texture for very long though where potato starch keeps it crunchier longer. I see so many recipes replacing cilantro with ginger and that's not the taste to get IMHO. Ginger is very key in this dish. Good recipe.
Lomo saltado already has asian influence. Its parts of Peru's Chifa cuisine, which is chinese peruvian. Another asian peruvian trend that's been growing is Japanese Peruvian food dubbed Nikkei.
First recipe that I tried when trying to make a shrimp boil (similar to Boiling Crab’s); and to date, this is the one I keep coming back to…My kiddos love it!
Yes I have made the recipe three times and it's great! I love it! The first time I tried green Thai tea was at a restaurant here in Oklahoma City where I live. I got it there a couple of times then I went back to get it again and the new owners/ workers said they have never had it.🙄Anyway, I was so happy to find your video and the tea on Amazon so I could make it myself! Thank you!
Throughout my hometown of Kerala this is a easy common tea to have. Those frozen pandan leaves that you are using are old that are sold in Korean stores. They do not move.. Only buy fresh, these can be purchased through Florida fruit growers or Ebay. People in USA will cheat you and say they are organic. The word organic is loose term. The people living in USA have never left USA to know the difference. 😊The true Asian dont treat others this way. Asians are very special. In southern India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand people use Pandan. It grows near water and has pineapple like bulb. Only certain people use pandan in India because of spiritual reasons. While you are cooking you need to send out good intention because if you do not the drink will not turn out correctly. You are the only one that can manifest what you want. Speak your words with authority..your decree would be..I made an amazing drink...stay with postivity
Tried this at Queen City Tea in Charlotte NC. I had mine hot. I think this is far more amazing and complex than regular Thai Tea. I came home and ordered the Green Thai tea mix so I can make it!
Thank you so much! I recently bought some (the same brand too!) since loved the orange Thai tea so much. But, then it hit me, it's loose tea! I'm use to the powder packet orange Thai tea that I use. So silly as this was, I didn't know what was the proper way of preparing it. So thank you once again, I can't wait to try it out! ❤
Wow... I never comment. But you just did something big for me. I have never seen this dish at any Vietnamese restaurant other than the small hole in the wall I have gone to since I was 11 years old. I love this dish. It is one of the first items I buy when I visit home in CA. I have moved out of state and I have not been able to find this dish anywhere. I cannot wait to make it. This is a god-send. Thank you so much!
Made this today and it tasted like the real thing!!! I tripled the recipe so it needed a few tweaks and also found out that 3x was a huge amount lol. Thank you so much 🤩
As soon as I was watching this.. I said omg I have to triple it because I have kids who love this kind of drink… good thing I started reading comments.. can you share what tweaks you did? Thanks in advance!
Dairy is incredibly harmful to animals and the earth, as well as our bodies. Coconut milk, oat milk, soy milk, almond milk are all great alternatives to avoid all these serious issues, and luckily they taste great/ even better than cows milk.
do you think this recipe is similar to the 7leaves version because of the coffee creamer? I've noticed they don't put condensed milk in the tea base before adding creamer so I was wondering if their recipe includes condensed milk at all for the creamer
@@wilshirebloke I’m not sure how 7leaves does it exactly but most places that do boba drinks or milk teas use coffee creamer. If they do use condensed milk somewhere in there, I can only think that it’s mixed with the condensed milk but it’s probably not likely cuz to me, it looks like just sugar was mixed with the tea base, ice, then the creamer floats over that sweetened base.
Just a fun fact. A lot of Peruvian food is a mix between Asian and native cultures. We use soy sauce in many of or recipes. The Chinese and natives cooked together along time ago and blended the foods together
