Hi everyone! In this video I'll be sharing with you how to recreate this popular food trend combining two of my favorite treats... fluffy and crispy CHURROS and oh so delicious ICE CREAM! Made famous by Churro Borough in LA, these delightful ice cream sandwiches are surprisingly easy to recreate at home!

Recipe
1/2 tsp salt
6 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cinnamon stick
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/4 cups water
vegetable oil (or neutral flavored oil)
Tips
- be sure not to overmix the batter to yield fluffier churros
- if the churros become too brown on the outside and undercooked on the inside after frying, try lowering down the heat and cooking them for a longer period of time
- make sure to cool down your batter before adding in the egg, unless you want scrambled eggs in your churros
- leftover uncooked churros can be kept in the freezer in a freezer safe bag (just freeze them in a single layer on a baking sheet for at least 10 min then transfer them into a freezer bag)
