Still have the original Brio have had it for a few years now and its still great, if I was to put it in the box and give it as a gift you'd think it was a brand new product, the blade is the same practically no difference since I bought it (I don't understand how...), battery is insane I charged it ONCE since I bought it years ago etc, its just a great product, its literally perfect, I saw the new version they released and its pretty similar to the last with slight differences, its hard to improve something that's already perfect.
My piece of sh*t philips trimmer lasted 5 years maybe. Then it helt up for another 4 years while being plugged in.. Then one very hot day i tried grooming my dog by cutting his fur a bit with scissors.. That took for ever so i thought, yolo, ill use my trimmer and then buy a new one. The trimmer died shaving my dogs ass.. Honorable death after such a long service. Then i got a manscaped whatever version. It lasted 3 years before it just decided to die. It did still turn on though.. if you can count that as working.. considering it would not power on when i wanted, instead the fking thing would turn on at 3AM for no reason on some occasions... Absolute garbage considering the price.. And i think i bought my crappy philips trimmer for like 40 bucks back then..
#1 I agree with ALL of the other comments. WHO PRESSES THAT HARD? and #2 I have the one without the "lock" and it DOES NOT MOVE PERIOD! Someone has it out for Braun! Get over it guy!
The Manscapped Beard Hedger is complete trash. Mine stopped working 8 months after I purchased it and their response has been to buy another one with a slight discount or to start a subscription. Thanks for the recommendation on a different option.

Your main argument for the small trimmers being that some of them have give to them when your press really hard is so dumb.. no one shaves their face that freaking hard.. would’ve liked to see better comparisons
What is your opinion on laser hair removal on the cheeks and on the neck(so your beard is forever defined and therefore not needing to shave those areas)? Is it a viable option?
I use oil, balm and butter. I like to start my day with a shower so first thing I do is dry out my beard and oil it. Then 20-30 minutes later I apply the balm. Later in the evening after work and an hour or so before bed I use the butter as at that stage my beard is getting pretty dry and frizzy. Some days I can just get away with only using oil but most of the time my beard benefits from all 3. I do a gentle wash every morning and a full deep clean at least once a week, or if I get into a situation where I'm sweatier/ dirtier than usual.
The main reason for those chemical burns is because the essential oils either aren't properly mixed into the solution or there's waaaaaayyyyy too much of the stuff in there. Essential oils should never be applied to the skin directly and should always be diluted into a carrier oil, typically at a ratio of 5-10 drops per 1floz. A lot of shady retailers on amazon will resell concentrated essential oils as beard oils and that's where a lot of this diy is dangerous mentality comes from. I consider myself a pretty smart guy and almost bought 3oz container of straight Cedarwood oil because of how cheap it was but luckily my common sense kicked in and questioned whether or not I was actually getting a good deal and currently down a research rabbit hole because now I want to make my own oils, butters, and balms which is why I am here. Love your tutorial vids man they're straight forward, to the point and no bs. Awesome job!
Nice video TO SELL a product, BUT, not adjusted to real life at all, at least not to men with an out of this world beard. You should know most men, the majority DO NOT have perfect beards. Of course, many of the beards we see on TV have make up
Just went to Amazon to look at the manscaped and Amazon is doing the 20% off is your subscribe and save but they require you to not cancel it in order to receive the discount(for the 4.0 version) and besides the marketing issues with manscaped there’s not much cons that really make it that bad but I don’t care about battery life or length of the trimmer or the speed of the trimmer especially if I’m just shaving my balls with it because I don’t want to use my regular cheap razor on my balls that I use for my face

I bought a lawnmower 5.0 last Thanksgiving. It's already dead. I was shocked to see the warranty was only 90 days. Joke is on me though as I had bought the 1.0 version. It died in a few months, they sent me a second which also died in about a year. Now the 5.0 is dead is less than 6. These are junk. Don't buy them.

You left out a feature of the V2 Brio Beardscape. If you hold the power button down it will lock the power so when you travel it won't go off and drain the battery. They have a power locking feature just for traveling. I love my V2 Brio Beardscape. Best trimmer ever!
