Hello Photography lovers! My name is Oliver and I am a passionate Photographer from the UK. When I turned 20 years old I solo traveled to Canada and the United States for one year.
I started Photography during my E-Commerce Internship in Manchester and taught myself how to use a Camera, make great pictures, and started working with models around the UK. My favorite part of Photography to creating fantastic pictures for others to look at and smile at. Follow me on my journey! :)
I have both bodies. While i love the a6700 for the batteries and grip and focus functions, the a6000 still does amazing with good lenses. I’ve used it for portraits with the 50mm f/1.2.
Thank you for this video! I currently have a Sony a6000 and enjoy using it, but was curious if spending the money for the newer a6700 would be a meaningful upgrade in terms of image quality. This puts the quality aspect into perspective (I am already aware of the other upgrades such as autofocus, battery life, weather sealing, in body IS, better video etc.). Money is tight, so I don't want to spend the money right now unless it is strictly necessary, plus almost never shoot video, so little in the way of benefit there. I will be saving for better lenses in the meantime instead. Also, I have to say well done shoot but the models, both of them are absolutely gorgeous (you have very good taste!), made it difficult to focus strictly on the image quality aspect 😆
Great photoshoot Oliver! Just wondering if you have to choose one lens between Sigma 30mm and Sony 50mm oss, what would you choose ? And which lens is a bit sharper ?
The 56mm seems to make the person really pop from the background more, much more 3D looking. How much further back did you have to stand to shoot with the 56mm?
Thanks you, I like the a7iii photos better but it was kinda expected. That being said, I went with the a6700 for the video capability, compact size and lenses prices. It really depends on what you 'll want to do with your camera really. That being said, the a6700 is still very capable in photography.
I could afford recently a Sony A6400 from Netherlands for 900€ in ebay with sony kit lens 16-50mm and a sony 35mm 1.8 OSS prime... After selling my old Nikon D80 with the 17-70mm and vintage nikkor 50mm for 250€. In my opinion I upgraded to a much smaller and capable camara, focus and iso performance is night and day. The Sony 35mm 1.8 is charm to shoot, and I also buyed 10-18mm Sigma for landscapes, I'm still in doubt if I'll go to Tamron 17-70 or another prime... but for shure this "old" sony performs very well till today.
I liked you video and explanation and just subscribed. However when I follow your steps and choose MONITOR nothing changed and I am still unable to see the image on the flip screen...What am I doing wrong?
@olivershutterspeed you are loyal to Sony brand. Sony should pay for your fantastic work because we love Sony cameras through your awesome work. To be honest, i saw different content creators. But technically i never saw like Geralnd undone and practically I never saw like you. You took fantastic pictures using different old and recent Sony cameras. I want to be like you...i want to learn more from you.
The A6000 was also my first serious camera with interchangeble lenses. And there will always be a place for this iconic camera as a niche camera. I love the way how you keep talking about this camera. Your videos proof that you can achieve so many impressive things with an older APS-C camera. In comparison to what a lot of full frame fanatics strongly claim. But an overpriced full frame camera doesn't instantly make you a professional photographer!
Beautiful capture ❤ You're using sigma 50mm 1.4 DG DN. Have you ever faced focus hunting issues in low light or strong backlight condition. I'm planning to buy one but some of my photographer friends told it has focus hunting issue and few of them already sold it. Please reply, it would be a great favor to get real world review from you. Thank you.
Nicht ein bisschen geschmacklos gerade heute Bilder aus dem Kurpark hochzuladen? Digga, da ist ein Junge heute totgeschalgen worden und ihr ladet einfach so einen Bullshit hoch
A6700 is awesome! I think the AF features will be great for portraits. A6000 is still great though. A6700 blows all the other APSC cameras out of the water for video though.
