Yes, there are several Apple phone shops here in Vientiane, along with many cell phone stores offering a range of products from affordable options to high-end models. Both Samsung and Apple phones are easily available. The main area for cell phone shops is Dongpalane Village, conveniently located near the city center. A taxi should be able to take you there without any trouble. Hope this helps :)

I don't know if anyone ever mentioned to the folks there at the ticket booth but they misspell "Foreigner" along with tons of other words around the country. They can just paint the H into the N. Otherwise nice relaxing place. Laos has tons of place that can be turn into very attractive trourism place but maybe lacking fundings or the government no longer interested in tourism $$$.
Yes, we agree that there are many misspellings in English on the signs throughout many tourist sites yet we also understand that Laos is a non-English-speaking country. We have witnessed a lot of changes in Laos for the last 5 years it might take some time for the country to be improved up to the standard that the westerners want to see.
You can book the Lao-Train China Railway through online agency but we would highly recommend you read those agencies' reviews first as we've heard negative feedback from some travelers's experiences. The other option - if you stay in a hotel or guesthouse in Laos, they might be able to help you to book the ticket with a little service fee. There is also an LCR Ticket App that you can try, we haven't experienced booking tickets via this app ourselves so we have no opinion about this option. Whatever option you choose to book LCR ticket, just make sure you read all their conditions thoroughly. Good luck friend!
I always enjoy these types of outdoor festivals in Laos. There are many shops and restaurants to try out. It seems to happen during the Thanksgiving holiday in the USA.
@LaoSoftware - Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Yes, we agree! From Nov to Feb is the best time to visit Laos. It is the perfect time to enjoy outdoor activities the temperature is ranked from 52'F - 68'F at night & 75'F - 90'F during the day without humidity.
