Crazy how shitty these rates are getting! How is it that we are BARELY getting $2 a mile!!!!! How are we surviving and what can we do to get these rates UPPPPPPP
I know this is an old video but the premise of cold calling new authorities is more than likely why people don’t answer the phone. I’m a new Authority and LITERALLY, (which I already knew) the SECOND my Authority was filed, my phone blew up with AT LEAST 50 calls the same day I just applied for my authority. Wasn’t even active and my phone blew up. So out of habit from then on and STILL to this day, I send everyone to VM. I’d rather read a text or hear a voicemail vs answering every call and being pressured to buy something I don’t need or want. Just saying.
I do agree. I formed 2 authorities myself and same thing happened to me. Most industries will have something similar happening. For example in Medicare insurance... Seniors get bombarded with phone calls and emails from insurance agents and it's just a thing right now thanks to access to phone numbers and autodialers. I don't think it will last for a long time though... So, companies are doing what they have to in order to survive :(
If a load is $1500 what does the Driver/trailer owner get? Does he pay tolls and fuel or do you pay that as a dispatch company? sorry, if this is inappropriate. I'm new to this
Driver gets 100% of that. You send a separate invoice to driver for your fees. Driver pays for all of their expenses. You have nothing to do with that.
I'm new to the game. CDL A w/x endorsements and Twic card.. Looking to do local deliveries maybe Bulk petroleum, company driver, OTR away from family no good. Never thought of dispatcher work?
Such a great video, but have to add this is not hacking at all :) Typical phishing scam. Technically illiterate DAT users are basically giving away their logins, without realizing it. Nothing is being hacked, cracked or breached in any IT way. Not sure what they do with all claimed DAT accounts. You have 150 DAT accounts, what then? They are probably selling logins on dark market to aspiring dispatchers with a strong Indian accent :D
Thank you. Yes, it's typical phishing scam. Here are just a few things they can do. They can double broker a load. They can steal loads by sending the load to one of their locations. They can book a load and never pay the carrier. They can sell the login info to someone else.
It is not skillfull IT hacking, but it is hacking nonetheless. Every non authorised access to someone's account, computer, database is considered hacking no matter means used to get into it. Most "real" hacking is actually social engineering passwords out of unsuspecting user in many ways. Phishing links, keyloggers, and very, very rarely something more complex than that. But SMS code 2fa not being any more secure than not having it at all is another thing and way of access to them. They can rather easily spoof your phone number and reroute incoming txt msg to them and get your code. Doing that you don't even have to click on any of their links if they have your phone number that is connected to the account. But phishing is by far easiest and most common thing these days.
What are your toughts on Indian brokers swarming the industry and droping the rates of the whole market. You will find more indian brokers in intermodal work.
In my opinion 90% of loads on DAT are below breakeven point even if you own your own equipment. Brokers usually will never pay more than $50 to $100 than posted.
The school that I got my CDL from only had 1 mannual and 5 automatic there was always a waiting list to get in the mannual, sometimes it wasn't avaliable for otr training and other times you couldn't get in before the school closed for the day. From this myself and so many others didn't get enough practice with the stick shift to pass the road test so it made sense to just go with the automatic. From my experience so far unless you're working with a small relatively young fleet with older trucks you're not gonna see a demand for mannual shift drivers
What are the best strategies to protect my portfolio?, I've heard that a downturn will devastate the financial market, so I'm concerned about my $200k stock portfolio..
We Are in Unchartered Financial Waters! every day we encounter challenges that have become the new standard. Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly... Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2024, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? I cannot let my $680,000 savings vanish after putting in so much effort to accumulate them.
@@PronLogistics in your opinion can you please enlighten me as to why that would be good for our industry. My thoughts are that it would force a lot of this over capacity to go away. Are you taking along those lines?
The White House isn't encouraging anything. They are standing behind workers. If truckers would stop this "independent rebel loaner" bull 💩 and unionize we'd do better too. Why is it the workers snd White House that are "killing the economy" by wanting better pay, better conditions, and a ban on automation that can cost jobs and not the companies who refuse to take care of their workers and force them to strike?
They don't want "better pay" they want MORE pay. They already have better pay than the rest of the country. Maybe we should go back to donkey carts and not keep up with the rest of world with the technology.
@@NeverStopTRK 😆😆😆 Says the industry scared shitless of self-driving trucks.😆😆😆 We all want more pay! Every. Single. Person. THAT is why you have this channel, so truckers can get more pay. Who are you to say what's enough pay for a job YOU DON'T DO? Look, I get it. You bought the Bullshit. You think it's other workers fault you aren't paid enough and not those who actually write the checks. "If you can convince the poor man that other poor men are the reason he's poor he will he so angry with him that he won't notice the rich man picking his pocket."
