I ordered the vertical grip it took them a month longer to get to me I like the feel of the stock but there hydrographic film pattern does not look anything like there picture I put it in a Remington 700 sps 20" tactical
The M5 Stealth DBM for Model 70 Short Action from Stocky's does not fit Model 70 HS Precision stocks in 300wsm. The front aluminum stud pushes the front metal out 0.14" and will need to be machined down to be flush in the front. And can not be taken down to the aluminium bed bc then the magazine would interfere with the bolt operation and the bolt won't close unless you push the magazine down from inside the chamber. That also happens bc the M5 308 magazine has about 1/4" of vertical travel if you push on the bottom of the magazine. I also had to remove the fiberglass in the middle like Don mentioned in this video. And the magazine rattles around so loud with the 308 AICS mag from Stocky's. Ridiculously loud! 6:52 listen to him push on the magazine and watch the vertical travel Does not take DSSF mags, ONLY SSSF mags for the short action. And the 300wsm cartridges do NOT fit in the ONLY mag you can buy for the M5 bc it's 308 feed ONLY. AI4267 magazines ONLY

I've got a huge question. I'm currently building a Savage model 111 with the DBM and bottom bolt realease. The Barrel is a Varmint 28 inch long in 270 Winchester. The Barrel tip will be .795 finished length. What stocks do you have that will work for that build.
Hi Don. I've got a huge question. I have a Winchester Model 70 in 270 Win that has the blind Magazine. What would I need to convert it over to either a Hinged floor plate style or a DBM type. I know i'll need a new stock. But I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone on this. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

You didn’t level the reticle. You leveled the top of the elevation dial to the receiver. You assumed the reticle is parallel to the top of the dial but you did not check it!
By chance are you going to be making a model of your VG2 with a adjustable cheek rest ? Especially for Long Action rifles. There are so little options for people like me with a 30-06 Long Action rifle

I was just watching another vid in which the fellow made a good point ... we can't always assume that the reticle is perfectly level with the world when the turrets are level. So to check this he made a plumb line about a foot long on his shop wall and then shone a flashlight backwards thru the scope to see if the reticle matched up with the plumb line.
Starrett sliding parallel between Pic rail and flat under turret. Sometimes you can't do it but it does work for me and there is no risk of phone sliding off the rail or the top of turret.

Do not do business with Stocky's!!! They'll take your money and deliver nothing. I believe they are going out of business. Check BBB first, do your homework and you won't waste your time & money like me.
