My name is Macy and I am a 4th year law student at Northwestern California University School of Law and graduated from University of Oregon with a B.S. in political science and minor in business! Subscribe to follow along with my life from studying in law school to travel, reading, crochet, and more!
I finally applied to NWCU! I've been watching your videos for a few years now, thank you for the great content. Ill end up re watching a lot of the first year videos while I await my acceptance. How many hours per day would you say you dedicate towards school related activities?
I was supoused enroll in your school but came across taft online law school in california..inwhich you can use fafsa, choose indp vs dependant learning routes...do you have any input on that school by anychance..
I have not heard of it but from just a quick glance at their website it looks like it is not CA bar accredited so you may want to look into that further before committing to enrollment.
come here in the Philippines and Pizza with pineapple is just common in the menu.....people love it here maybe theres a food you really like that is ridiculously funny to other places.......dont judge
To document summer moments on social media more and treat it as a time-capsule, rather than what is typically deemed as a marketing venue or brand-building. Just as you've done and .. are doing with your law school journey. Big ups for the inspo! 😎😎👌👌👌
Hi Macy - I really enjoy watching your updates. You are adorable and I am so proud of you. You were so kind to give me tips when I started NWCU. They helped me a lot. Unfortunately, I could not continue after the first year because of a neck injury. I loved every minute of NWCU and miss Dean Mary and Professors Chang, Bishop, and George. I look forward to hearing about your success and now I live vicariously through you. Thank you so much for your videos and keep up the great work - you'll be an amazing attorney :)
Your law school should prepare you for that. Law students when taking exams can't film. But in short the exam is 1hr. You have to read a fact pattern and answer the question(s) asked by providing issue, rule, analysis, & conclusion. If you want an idea you can look at Ca jurisdiction bar past exams with answers.
Girl !! did you really go to the bay area because your clips don't show like it's San Francisco/ Oakland area? No offense but people from the Bay area are very anal on what you call Bay area.😊
Just started first year at NWCU Law. Always interesting seeing you pop up on my feed as it's so different from everything else I subscribe to. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing some of your experiences. Your channel provided insight into how the school actually works which I couldn't find elsewhere.
Hi! The school does not publish their own books and generally uses the same casebooks as other law schools do so it just depends on if that publisher offers them as ebooks anywhere!
Macy, I am considering nwculaw too! However, does the school require you to take all four courses at the same time each year? Can I just take 1-2 classes each year? I have a full time job, I don’t think I can handle four classes while working 8 hours a day.
@@nicolapau7270 yes you have to take all 4 at a time, but it is actually helpful because the concepts build upon one another. The great thing about NWCU is its a part time program designed for students who are working or have other commitments so the majority of students do work full-time. It’s a lot, but it is doable.
Hey Macy. I have a weird question. I really want to challenge myself and go to law school and I'm drawn to NWCUSL due to it being online and so affordable. The issue is that I don't live in California. Do you think it's worth it for someone who just wants the JD? Also, I work 40 hours a week from 8am to 4:30pm, do you think its doable with these hours? Thank you so much for any advice!
There’s students from all around the world at NWCU so there is no issue there and it’s meant to be a part time program so most students work or have other obligations! It is still a lot though so you have to be very self disciplined and motivated
Love watching your videos. Do you know if your school will have an actual graduation ceremony for you all? You spent years to become a lawyer, I hope the school offers this for your classmates and yourself. Congrats though!
Thank you! Unfortunately they do not, it just would not be practical since everyone starts and finishes at different times, but I plan on having a very big party with my family and friends to celebrate!
