I am still early on in 3L so I couldn't say for certain quite yet, but it is still looking like 1L was the hardest for me because everything in law school is brand new and you are trying to learn how it works on top of learning the material. Whereas in subsequent courses you may be learning new material, but everything seems to intertwine in some way or another and all classes are like building blocks that tend to build on top of one another.

I will be taking military law when I start my fourth and final year this month, so I will be sure to share more details about that when I begin!

I don't think they are scare tactics. You have to be very self disciplined for this program (and honestly law school in general) and if you can't do that, you aren't going to make it. NWCU has a very high acceptance rate which I think is great because it gives more people the opportunity to attend law school, but at the same time not all of these people take it seriously enough and that is why we see the passing rates so low. All in all though the program has been more than worth it, especially if you have other responsibilities in your life, can't afford a traditional law school, or don't live near a law school!

Pretty much! It is just a different program than Zoom though.
