Thank you. I'm going to have my mom watch this video so that she can take the bus over to my house and fix my disposal. My roommates and I are sick of stuff flying all over the kitchen every time we use it, she's sick of having to clean it up the mess when she comes over, and I'm tired of her constantly whining about it. Doggone it!

That's a great video. I'm getting ready to replace my splash guards, two of them fell off and I can hear them rattling around, I hope I can get those pieces of splashguard out of there when I pull the disposal out from under the sink.

Thanks! I appreciate that you were so specific about how the mounting ring works. All the videos I've watched so far gloss over it like it's intuitive. "Use a screw driver to unmount" is insufficient for a first timer! I was able to remove it and put it back up with confidence! I think beginners generally do these videos better because they know how an inexperienced person approaches the task. Telling what *not* to do, is as helpful/important as telling what one should do. I think you covered everything well!

A scissors car jack with a flat piece of wood (about 6 by 6 by 1/2" thick) between the jack and the disposal would work much better.

Just did mine. I had a heck of a time getting it in position to tighten down the new seal. I ended up using a scissor jack and that worked great.

Put in from the top. You don't have to remove the whole disposal.

My OG gasket was damaged/melted by pouring boiling pasta water down the sink. Run cold water and pour boiling water slowly. Now I have a double sink, we drain the pasta water in the other side.

I did see somewhere that there is a company selling joysticks that won't drift. But who knows maybe they will over time.

My garbage disposal was leaking and I could not get it off, so I got angry and tightened it back on and it just stopped leaking!!! My splash guard slides out from the top, so I will just slide a new one down inside from the top, if that works then I am good!!!😁😁😁😄😄😄

1. All games need a Swap Game Nodon if you want to go to or from that game. 2. The Swap Target Keyword is the game you will go to. Here you would enter whatever the keyword is on the Swap Nodon of your 2nd game. 3. The Game Keyword is the same word you will use from another game to transfer you to this game. (Could make it the name of the game to remember easily) 4. Go to your 2nd game and insert a swap game Nodon. What you used in the 1st one as the Swap Target Keyword needs to be your keyword for this second game.

Apartment maintenance replaced disposal and I think he did just what you said. I took it all apart , first he didn't knock out the plug for dishwasher drain. I did notice like you said the gasket looked deformed in one spot. I took the gasket off tried to reset it. Still leaks, matenance guy pulled it off but didn't replace the gasket, it's still leaking. Two piece gasket type, gasket doesn't have the splash guard built-in. Separate splash guard goes in from the top. I wonder if it was originally the one peace gasket and the new one is a two piece gasket set up. Would that make it leak. Anyway I think you're right he pinched the new gasket. Oh the push in splash guard also doesn't fit correctly. Kinda makes me think it was the one piece gasket originally.

They need to fix that leak. I'm not sure what your setup is but eventually all that water leaking could create a mold issue and could damage the wood. I hope you don't have to wait too long before they fix it. Good luck!
