I think the value of pking does not matter as much here. I think the main goal is to stop any individual from making bank from this wilderness course and the loot is just a bonus.
F2P Varrock Multi is what real PKing was all about. Meet and team up with random people or friends, have fun, don’t worry about risk, stats, gear or tick-perfect clicks, and still get decent loot over time. Now it’s just people camping GE or Lumbridge in PvP worlds 24/7 fighting 1V1, and only Edgeville singles is left for F2P wilderness PKing. It’s lame that Jagex restricted F2P accounts from the beginning. Even in February 2015 upon permanent free to play’s release, F2P accounts couldn’t trade for 24 in game hours and all stackable items PKed in the wilderness were reduced to 1 of each. For example if the guy you PKed had 100 Chaos Rune, but hadn’t played 24 in game hours, you would only get 1 Chaos Rune as the PKer (even if you as the PKer played 24+ in-game hours) Later on, Jagex made all these restrictions for new accounts; May 2018; 150 total to enter friends chat April 2020; 100 total / 10 QP / 20 in game hours for unrestricted trade. They were supposed to stop bots, but all they did was hurt real players whenever they make a new account and kill low level F2P PKing, which then affected med-high level wilderness PKing, too. And they don’t even stop the bots; evidenced by the large number of bots with high boss KC and lots of post-99 XP like in the case of Hunter bots. And even with those restrictions, F2P multi was still active up until late 2019. But eventually it was just too much, along with other PvP content splitting the PK community and thinning it out even further (LMS, Ferox enclave, PVP worlds, Bounty Hunter). We had a good thing and Jagex ruined it.

Its changed gear wise but skilleise nah still the majority player base of pkers still dont k ow how to triple most the time they dont even have triples, pid,tic and food mechanic understanding still non existent because they all still think safing exists whilst they get 120+ stacked before veng even goes off 🤣🤙🏿
this is a major part of why I quit the game, Power creep got insane, pking got so boring, nobody risks because everyone does 70 damage a hit, korasi never misses. Remember Smite hybrid fighting that was the golden era, now you got sweats in crystal doing 40 damage every range hit.
bs. you have less than 50% of combat levels to deal with this issue. power through and get to the real fights. you yourself said this would be an issue. you were scared to die. admit it and let it go.
Pking people there is kinda lame. Let ppl get some money and xp. Wish I could do it for an hour without getting hounded. Go to fkin rev caves or somethjng

Idk why people complain about safing. Modern RS pvp you can stack full hp+. I just find it silly. Not hate towards Framed, just a thing I see often when watching pvp vids, from the creators and the randoms in the videos lol.
