I heard this song for the first time in 2002 as I would go to see my parents who were both dying. This song made me cry as they played it on the radio at exactly the same time each evening as I drove the 2 miles to go see them. It’s been 22 years and I still cry as hard as I did back then when I hear it, but I know they’re in heaven with Jesus and someday I will be with them again!
On April 5, 2023, my dearly beloved grandmother went home to be with the Lord. About two weeks before she passed, we were told that if we wanted to see her one last time, we should do so. I remember that I cried very hard as I pleaded with God to save her soul if He had not already done so. The commonly held belief is that people go to heaven because they were deeply loved, generous, compassionate, etc. However, scripture tells us that salvation is only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only way to the Father ( John 14:6 ), and the cry of my heart was for my grandmother to be saved. God sees our tears, and He also knows how much I love her. My grandmother was Roman Catholic, and I was very concerned for her soul. Years ago, she had told me not to worry about her because I was very concerned for her soul. My family is primarily Roman Catholic. The Roman Catholic Church preaches another gospel, and scripture says that anyone who preaches another gospel is to be accursed. Today, I have peace in my heart about where my grandmother is, but it still hurts that she is gone. I wish I could see her again, give her a hug, and ask her “Do you know how much I love you?”, because I love her very much. To anyone else who has lost a grandparent, I can relate. That’s not to say that I know what you’re going through, because I don’t. I don’t even really know what my own family is going through. Only God really knows that, so while I can relate, I will NEVER ( capitalized for emphasis ) truly understand the magnitude of your heartbreak, and vice versa. To each and every one of you, I am very, very sorry for your loss, because I know that it cuts very deeply. No matter how long it has been, I don’t believe that you ever really get over your loss. You learn to accept that the person is gone, but humanly speaking, that’s all. You don’t reach the point where you stop loving and missing them.
Josh has just gotten more magical in every way so why is no one putting current photos of the current 43 year year old Josh? Yes he was sexist man alive back when these photos were taken but to some of us he still is and always will be beautiful! If I weren’t a techno phobic person I’d do it myself.
