The FX6 looks like a great camera, but I'm a handheld user so the absence of IBIS made this a no-go for me, since there are other options out there with IBIS.
Purchased it a month back. It was one the best purchase decision. It’s really worth the money, I had photos from last 15 hrs all stored in a drive which we never get time to see or filter. On weekends we find time to slowly create a proper photo album.
I love this video. & have watched it countless times. It resonates! Do I need an FX6? No. Have I bought one? Yes! Not everything has to be rational. Feel is good.
really do not see the appeal.. you said it yourself - you can print a photo in the lab. I can do 10x15 cm for like 0.5 bucks per picture and i dont have to buy the printer and cartridges. It will take a long time before this will pays off, provided that it's not just gonna break down
That's sooo funny - as an A7siii and fx30 owner, about to go look at a second hand fx6 - that was the perfect video! I've been telling myself for years, I didn't need it, that it's the same as the A7s and I can screw on variable NDs :)
Can these connect to a camera camera? Or if I have a new enough camera I can send the pics to my phone over Bluetooth and then print them? Im really wanting to explore a little project of getting portrait shots and handing it to them on the spot
I came here after looking for a small photo printer solution. Then looked on Amazon. A review was ecstatic over it. So I came to RU-vid and see what's up. How did I miss this launching. You are so right. Digital and social media has really killed the old school "feeling" of images/photography. I may have to get one of these. I'm betting family and friends will start asking for prints too. I'm always the "photographer" at any event.
i’m pretty late to this video but i’ve had an a7iii for a while but i’m upgrading this month. would u recommend a smaller jump to the fx3 or make the bigger jump to the fx6?
Good video! I currently shoot with a Canon S100 and am looking for a bit older, simpler camera to compliment it. Seems that the SD1000 is great. I'm also seeing the SD800 as an awesome alternative to it. With the 1000 and 800 being damn near equal, the 800 has a wider focal length at 28mm (35mm equiv) compared to the 1000's 35mm and it also has Image Stabilization. The only drawback to the SD800 would be the slightly larger physical size and slightly less resolution on the screen. All in all, both look like fun cameras. Seems there are a ton of options from that era from Canon. Thanks.
Stumbled into a still working CP500 by chance in a package deal. Same 10x15 tray and cartridges as sold and used today. Same user exp story, rather amazed by how great it is to have within reach. Had no idea such products even existed. Will surely inspire more print lab orders as well in larger sizes. Also inspired me to try some sort of street or market photo booth service, setting up a laptop or even just USB pictbridge straight from camera into selphy.
I just got mine today and got it setup. It tells me I don't have the right size paper when I try and print the full 4x6 size (or Large) from the app. I just used the paper and cartridge that it came with, so I don't quite understand. Did you have this issue? Trying to print from mobile app.
anyone has specific setting to make the color more accurate with the digital version? mine turns darker than the original one sometimes even the brighteness is set at +1.
u seem kind and genuine <3 good job ! my roommate remembered he has one of these and im a model so im about to construct a wall of my shots w this thing w pretty lights
I totally relate, I started with a Nikon DSLR back in 2015, switch to sony A6600 in 2019 and bought the fx30 when it came out. Sold the fx30 and a6600 and bought the fx6. Will i regret it? Maybe but am I happy? Hell Yeah!
If you want the same aesthetics and ergonomics, check out the ELPH 520 HS/IXUS 500 HS. It's a better camera all around. They are nearly identical dimensions but the 520 is 20g lighter. The 520 has a much better quality and slightly larger BSI CMOS sensor, Digic 5 processor, image stabilization, much more useful 12x (28mm-336mm) focal range, shoots 1080 24p video, 240fps slow motion, 3200 max ISO, 1/4000s shutter and a way nicer screen. You can usually find them less than the SD1000 too. I have the red one, it's awesome IMO.
