Long time Wahoo fan here, many of their products, etc and have been using a TickrX for about the last 5 years. it's been great (I do know others have reported various issues over time w that device). And mainly what I've liked about the Wahoo design is that the strap and the pod are separate and super easy to replace batteries, etc (although I'm now fully Garmin guy, I never liked their HRM strap design intent). For me, having the pod and strap separate means that I can (and have) buy a generic OEM strap from AliExpress for about $5 US, and it works perfectly with the Wahoo pod. Used Polar straps and products in the past, so I've been using HRM straps for probably 35 years overall. I've found that the typical point of failure was always the strap itself - either the leads separating from the fabric, or some other strap-specific issue. Being able to buy and use almost ANY no-cost strap makes the entire thing last longer. Yes I'll be giving the new Wahoo HRM a try fairly soon. Good vid. 👍👍

I initially used a Spurcycle bell before switching to a Crane bell. Many elderly men couldn’t hear the Spurcycle bell until I was right behind them, likely because it has a higher pitch and hearing loss often affects higher-pitched sounds first. The Crane bell, being louder and having a lower pitch, worked much better.

How’s the comfort of the S5 compared to the SL8? Actually how’s the SL8 in terms of comfort in general amongst racier bikes? I’m looking for a bike with race geometry but with as much comfort from the frame as I can get due to some injuries. Not interested in an endurance bike by the way.
@MitchOnTwoWheels
@MitchOnTwoWheels 11 дней назад
S5 is much stiffer of a ride... SL8 is fairly comfortable surprisingly, more so than the SL7 due to the thinner seat post and chain stays going the way of the Aethos. Take a look at the Aethos if you want comfort with race Geo too... Or atleast don't write it off completely.

The bottom bracket after a year or so started to have a little play no matter how hard I tight it. I hope you'll reed this long comment 😅 cheers

Tighter tolerances on modern tubeless than the old standard.

A more important difference between the regular version and the pro is the threads that receive the extension hose. On the regular, these threads are plastic and very prone to cross threading. On the pro version, these threads are metal. I had the non-pro version and it cross-threaded on me when I needed it most. The non-pro version is a false economy.

Pricey, but I have rounded many screws.. perhaps they are high quality steel. And the idea is brilliant!
@MitchOnTwoWheels
@MitchOnTwoWheels 24 дня назад
Absolutely. At the end of the day it’s marginally more expensive at a much bigger weight savings overall. Riders will spend thousands of dollars chasing the same grams they save on this, elsewhere.
