Welcome to my life, ladies and gentlemen! I upload a variety of gaming content based on the games I am playing at that time, so you will always see different content in your feed :) Hope you enjoy your stay!
A shame, I reckon you had the pace to keep up with the two at the front as well! Those last two corners are a bitch for off tracks and slowdowns, especially when you go into them side by side. P5 is still a good result considering though I'd say
Unfortunately, one too many mistakes cost you dearly in that one, which is a shame as you were pretty much on pace with the cars ahead of you. You can really push the limits at RBR, but even then it's easy to dip a wheel off. Yeah, looking back at the incident, he should have had better awareness and left a little more space. I know you didn't touch and it was net code, but that's why I always leave a little more room than needed to compensate for it. You hugged the inside line perfectly so not on you at all, but it's unfortunate that net code had to get involved.
Cheers as always Nick! Yeah was feeling very good in that one. I wonder if he had his spotter on or was just caught in the heat of the moment you know. Onto the next one hahha
Most normal gt4 fixed start ever. Only saw one T bone so actually pretty clean. Good job sticking the pass on Antonio but I'd be hella mad if I were him and saw you blow the chicane like that 😅
That start was absolutely insane. To me, it looked like the leader started to go and then stopped, which caused that cars behind to get caught out. The rate of knots you caught those front guys was insane. As for the race, not bad, although I think you started to over-drive the car which led to the mistakes creeping in. I think in the early stages you were maybe in a rush and trying to get past Anthony too quickly. It all worked out in the end tho, for that top 10 finish and I'm sure you'll claw that SR back in no time 👍🏻
Yeah seems like you are correct there Nick! It really felt like everyone else was in slow-mo as we approached T-1 hahah. Yeah I would agree with you there, the itch to catch someone always gets me
You lost 0.57 safety rating because you dropped below the 3.00 mark as a result of that race so it subtracts an additional -0.40 from your rating. So you lost -0.17 SR in the race then -0.40 for crossing the whole number boundary.
Great video man! -ClubSport Steering Wheel formula V2.5 X -QR1 Wheel-Side -ClubSport Pedals V3 Damper Kit -ClubSport Pedals V3 Brake Performance Kit -ClubSport Pedals V3 CSL DD (8nm) Logitech playseat Trophy This is being sold near me for $1000. Is this worth the price or would I be better off going in another direction with all the stuff going on over at fanatec atm?
Cheers mate! Going to be honest with you I’m not the most experienced with other brands for sim gear since this is my first wheel and base however I’ve heard good things about moza and fanatec so whatever makes most sense budget wise for you! $1000 for all that seems like an amazing deal can’t lie, sorry I can’t be more helpful
Thanks for the shoutout Jan, appreciate it 👍🏻 That lap 1 was absolutely crazy. It was more like watching Mario Kart than iRacing. The fact that you got through it all without any drama was impressive. I hope to see more racing in this car this season. I just want to hear you say "Slippy in the Skippy" more 🤣
Of course mate, no worries at all👊🏻 Ahaha that is a great way to put it very Mario Kart-esque!! I will for sure be slippying in the skippy in future, let's grid up for a race together sometime mate
Skippies are SO much fun, but wtf was that first lap 😂 Skippy really rewards backing up entry and using throttle to rotate through the corner to avoid scrubbing the front tires. Done right, it almost feels like a dirt car. Done wrong... it looks like me in a dirt car 😂 Hope we get to see more of this!!!
Everyone was playing the track is lava mate hahahha! Yeah it really does feel like drifting sim sometimes, defo excited for more races in the skippy mate hope to see you out there too ;)
Great job, especially all those lap 1 passes. Dodging cars like that is such an important skill so never discount it. Each one of those easy passes could have been a spin out or race ending crash on your part. Also the Skip Barber Finishing School made me the man I am today. Wish I had iRacing back then but I'm glad I still get to drive that car.
Great fun, I drive this car. The rev counter would be obscured by the wheel upright, so it's turned for visibility. Rev matching the gear changes is optimum for pace. There is virtually zero tyre wear, it's a road tyre not a slick. Enjoy it's such fun 👍
I find taking the second to last corner in 3rd rather than 4th sets you up much better for the last corner, means you can get on the gas before the apex and quickly get to the braking zone for the last corner. Think it is marginally faster in 4th if you can carry the speed through the apex but it's quite tricky to do. A solid first race for season 4!
Good racing and good result. I thought for a moment you were going to go for a "desperate lunge" when you had the run on Kyle going into the final sector of the lap, but kept it clean and fair so kudos.
Welcome to the Ferrari GT3 Challenge where carnage unfolds at every turn 🤣 (I'm sure you've seen my races in this series and I just can't seem to catch a break most of the time) Atwood curve is interesting because of the camber and bumps on entry, but there's something quite nice about losing the car and catching it. Regarding the incidents towards the end, I'm guessing he got punchy because of your understeer and bump on him in the final corner. You could have actually been on the right a little bit more to be fair looking at the replay. Regarding the defend on the straight, yes it was aggressive, however he left you a cars width on the inside and you didn't have to go off track to avoid contact, so well done you for holding the line and winning the position. As for the last lap incident, not much more needs saying on that. Of course you could have opened the steering to avoid, but that was your corner, you were already turning in on the line and as you pointed out, he was understeering because he broke too late and there was no way he was getting that thing turned in. Good result tho Jan, just try and keep your nose clean in this one and you'll do well 👍🏻
Cheers for the warm welcome Nick ahaha! I have been keeping up with your Ferrari videos :) Yeah me punting him in the back was definitely bad, should have slowed the car since I was on the grass but the adrenaline was on 100% during ngl... Yeah I think just the erratic nature of the cut across the track made it seem worse than it was at the time, but he was legally defending so cannot be mad at that! In the hairpin incident for a while before making the video I thought I had braked too early and invited him up the inside but the onboard cam confirmed he was never making the corner for me. Thanks for the support as always mate :)
Looks like that was a fun little go kart. I thought when theres a wreck in t1 youre supposed to drive full throttle into the melee, I see you have a different approach. 😂deciding to finish the race with the bodywork attached is an interesting strategy and I applaud that.
You make it look so easy thats inspiring. Let me ask you something mate, I am around 1.3k iR but I am already C License. Do you think it is worth going to SFL already? Thanks, awesome video as always. :)
If youre into formula cars and open wheels id recommend it but it just purely depends cause all the content is paid so it does add up, altogether it is just faster and more later braking getting more intense
What are you racing now? Formula 4 or ff1600? I'm around you in license and iR and have been racing f4 heavily the last two seasons. I think this vid just sold me on the SFL but I'm probably not going to race it much until next season. Probably will use my race winnings to buy it like I did with the f4.
Really appreciate the kind words mate, as far as the SFL goes I would 1000% urge you to try! I think you will find it easier to navigate than the F4 but I would love to hear your thoughts if you do decide to buy the car :)
