Hi I hope to get a reply Um so I downloaded this because I didn't have much space for the game I wanted, but when I launched it and even set it to epic games file it still was unable to download as I do not have space. I thought this was used as a cloud? Is it not or am I doing something wrong?
'Oh, by the way, you'll need to create an Unreal account before you can use the Epic Games launcher. I won't show you how to do this in this video because I forgot about it and couldn't be bothered to go back a step in my video and explain it. I know you are total newbies on this subject (or you wouldn't have searched for a video titled: 'What is the Epic Games Launcher and how to use it.') but - what the heck! Reading down the comments it's clear that your video helped very few people because there is a lot that you didn't explain.
This felt like a personal attack (great video though!). Just got a corruption issue yesterday and lost about a day worth of work (iDrive saved my butt). Though I have no idea whether something else is corrupted and I will find out about it when I don't have a working backup version... so I'm switching to Git.
This was a great video - first time looking into what it will take to become a beginner C# dev, I hadn't realized that Unity had so many (non-game related) applications re VR, AR, simulation, etc. Thank you! Thumbs up!
in my unreal engine why i dont see any model that i buy from marketplace, whenever i want to use it, I need to "add to project" is this normal or there is other way
I have been playing your stinking game since April and haven't received a cent I am a woman with stage four metastatic lung cancer I'm trying very very hard to make some money for my I have racked up quite a bit of money since April and I haven't received $0.02 on my cash app card somebody needs to help me get this message to unity video games yeah I guess they teach you how to do the games and not to pay out $0.01 I want the money I have one or I will be reporting you to the FCC as a ripoff company!!
Personally, I use HDRP for my stylized game simply because it has many lighting features that I prefer over URP. These kinds of features are not restricted to "realistic" graphics games at all. In fact, I've found the performance overhead to be way better using HDRP's native volumetrics over implementing multiple 3rd party "fake" volumetrics in URP, while achieving a superior natural look. These videos are definitely helpful, but it pays new users to know that HDRP isn't just for realistic graphics and URP isn't just for toony stylized graphics.
Just to confirm what you are saying, I gave up working in the game-dev industry after 8 years (started at 22 years old) because I was afraid I will start hating games because of the chaotic work-life balance and culture that the game-dev companies provided. It was hard to switch, me being a hardcore gamer all my life I had this internal struggle that I was giving up my dream. Anyways, switching to actual general dev and software services industry was the best decision ever, I managed to earn more, work less, have time to actually learn more stuff and still enjoy a gamer life. I've been on and off with unity since then on hackathons, doing contract work or just for fun stuff and it is awesome :-).
I'm gonna save u 30 min of ur life Unity: if u are beginner great choice Unreal: If u have some game development experience and want good graphics and bigger games use unreal
