I have a friend, Blond as Blond can be. All the rest of his family are dark. His mother used to be got at saying she had slept around. She hadn't. A later DNA test showed that my friend and his brother, parents, Grandparents and so on, has a Scandinavian gene about 3%. The reason my friend is blond is that the Scandinavian gene this time came to the fore in him.
