Hi mate I don't know if you check this channel anymore but I want to say thanks for the videos, really helped me get ready for starting my Acc&Fin degree this September as well as know what to expect from this part of my life as a whole.
Hello! Thanks for the kind words - that’s exactly what I made these videos for so that is amazing that it has helped you out! Good luck for the degree, I’m sure you’ll smash it! :)
You are also a university student in your fourth semester. At this time, I am in North Africa and thinking about studying abroad for my master’s degree
What to do for work while studying ACCA to gain experience? I tried a customer service job which is completely outside of my ACCA field of studies but it made me lose focus on the ACCA studies. I'm on RQF level 4 of level 1 FIA ACCA currently with one more paper to complete before i begin studying level 2 ACCA. Any guidance?
I JUST WONDERING WHEN YOU SAY IT REQUIRES ALOT OF WRITING AND LESS MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM SOLVING. BECAUSE ALL I SPECIALISE AT IS MATH NOT SAYING MY ENGLISH IS BAD BUT IT JUST TRIGGERED ME WRITING IS MOST CRUCIAL THING TO APPLY IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE. BUT ABOVE ALL, I AM IMPROVING MY ENGLISH IN HOPE THE PROGRAMME WOULD BE LESS NERVE WRECKING.
I’m not gonna lie I have finished second year of accounting and it was all maths. I only had 3 modules out of 8 that was essay based so I think it depends on the uni tbh. Like some unis do economic in compare to other day that don’t.
Hello, I'm a second year undergraduate student studying Accounting and Finance at The University of Manchester. I haven't been able to find an internship over the summer and I'm not sure about what I want to do in future. Can you help me?
I have planned to go for accounting and finance degree this year, but now thinking to change my mind although im hard worker but scared now what if I fail. No waaayy
I have been failing for years, I didn't do anything to change it, even though I "wanted to" and reapplied to university after over a year of stopping.. I didn't bring myself to change, and wasted a year and bunch of money.. I feel like umm I'm coming to a dead end.. I hate it and feel very miserable, yet I don't do the simplest step to change, as if like I like to suffer.. I knew the consequences are horrible along the way, but I don't know why I'm not helping myself.. I want for this life to end. I claim that I want to change and will do stuff over and over again, but there's nothing.. I know I can't ask someone for help, because the only one who can help me, is me.. as I said, I failed myself and failed to help me.. no drive to anything, not looking to live forward to my gloomy future ( as I'm continuing this state)..
Hi there, It is always tough in the dark times to see any way out, almost like it is impossible. I can only speak from my experience in that the tough times did turn around and would also highly recommend speaking to someone you trust, if someone like that is available to you if you are struggling mentally. I will also link this www.mind.org.uk/need-urgent-help/using-this-tool/ - Mind are a charity that have helplines where you can speak to someone about your mental health if you feel as though you are needing it. My mother has always told me, a problem shared is a problem halved. I hope that whatever you are going through can be overcome.
What about doing a masters, at a good uni, should I do it, I’ve got poor school grades, but I got a first class ba hons from a low class university, so I can now attend a top university
Wow this is perfect timing as a student about to sit their A-Levels. I’m in the same boat where I just want to go for the experience to be honest and I guess a degree will always be a safe staple on my CV. But the debt, especially for this year, has completely lost my interest and I’m kind of thankful for it as it really made me consider how it will affect my future and whether the degree will be worth the set backs it will come with. I really am thankful for your honesty and optimism on not following the uni path it’s not often encouraged in the education system.
Hello, I unfortunately just went down a bit of a different path in life and so making videos about the same sort of content I used to would feel a little disingenuous. Maybe in the future I will return :)
@@NiallBruce9 Hi I will be starting this course in September , I would like to know how I can be revising and preparing for my first year. That would be great , thanks
A degree is very important if you want to change careers. It's always considered. Online learning sucks for most people. Very easy to lose motivation when you are studying alone looking at the screen.
Since starting uni also the problem I think with online learning, at least from sites like RU-vid, is that the information doesn’t always involve critical thinking and research sources like academic content involves.
Hey Bruce, Thanks for the video. I would like to know if you had a lot of International Students at your University, did they find jobs after graduating with the same degree? Thank You! 😊
I havent done alevel maths my course doesnt require it but the maths modules look tough. I wouldnt say I'm bad at maths it's hard to initially learn but i can get the hang of kt
I am in Birmingham, I want to study chartered Accountancy. I passed cpt exam, I want to study ipcc … please could you guide me to which university in Birmingham ??? Or I can do any university??? Thanks
I would like to know how long do you study for each subjects in accounting and finance? My university suggests to spend 100 hrs for every 10 credits subjects. How to only take 50 or 60 hours and get 65+? Can someone answer?
I am from Pakistan and I want to study accounting and finance in UK which university you will suggest for this course the university fee should not be more than 16000 pounds
Im thinking of doing accounting and finance at uni, whats the maths like because I don't do it at a level. Do you think its harder without maths A level and what GCSE grade would you compare it to? Thanks
Hi Niall, I’m starting an Accounting and Finance course in October and was wondering what tech you used, what books you reccomend and use, what programs you needed to use throughout the course? I’m really stuck between buying either an iPad and a laptop, or an iPad and a PC.
Hello, I used a MacBook Air in my time at university, I don’t remember downloading any programmes I must say but I don’t think you’d need both an iPad and a laptop it might be a bit overkill!
@@mokijii we had a specific reading list for our course, most lecturers will outline a required reading for the module at the start with the recommended textbooks
Accounting and finance opens you up to careers in finance from Invesment banking to asset management to hedge funds and Private equity as well which need hire a lot of grads out of uni so there’s two industry’s that are available to some one who study’s accounting and finance !
