In this video I talk about what to do if you are failing at University, if you’ve failed and how to work to get back to where you want to be. Failing can be really tough on your mental health, and from my experience not only that but your physical health. Here's some motivational stories to hopefully get you through.
Hope you guys really enjoy this one and it helps you out, as always, subscribe to the channel for more if you like the vibes.
When I studied at University, it was failing classes that allowed me to see my wrongdoings. Up until that point I was living out a pretty sad existence, not trying hard, getting poor grades, but once I'd actually failed a class, that was enough for me to see that a change was needed. If you are in a slump at university, it might be time to re-evaluate your position. Could you be working harder? Is your lifestyle good enough to succeed? What changes can you make to make your experience at University worthwhile. The whole point of being there is to obtain qualifications (among other social aspects) and if you are failing then it shows that something along the line is going wrong.
For me personally, this also allowed me to see that in other areas of my life, there were also a lot of things turning out negatively. My physical and mental health were both nosediving due to the amount of alcohol I was consuming, the lack of sleep I was getting, and the lack of attendance my lectures were getting. All of this amassed to a very sad time, and fortunately for me, when I started failing and took a look in the mirror, I managed to realise that all of these things were contributing to not only me failing, but the sadness I was feeling. It was time to make a change. And here I am, to tell the tale.
Lots of love,
Niall

Thanks for this buddy! Lovely insights. I’m in my last sem of 2nd year and I flanked my first sem. 2As, 1B, 1C and 4Ds. Just got the results today. Felt like shit the whole day. I did a diploma and like you, that made first year easy since I had more or less covered many units during my diploma. Idk, long semester really. I tried going to the library at times but mentally, I was drained the whole time. Anyways, just needed a space to rant. My folks won’t really understand me. I’ll bounce back for sure. This one, hurt. Thanks again buddy! Earned a subscriber.

I’m currently in exam season and in 3rd year. In person exams and new developed anxiety have made it so much harder than 1st and 2nd year( got 64% 2nd year which is 33% of my final degree) Im going to fail these accounting and finance exams but it’s not the worst thing in the world, hated nearly all of the syllabus since the start. Guess it’s time to reassess my position and move on because I can’t do university anymore😂 Great video this as it made me realise everyone fails, and in the next few years hopefully I’ll look back and thinking it all worked out for the better

People grow and change with time and maturity. There is no doubt about it and failing or bad times make you stronger and are character building. Very honest appraisal as always Niall. You will get to where you want to in time! Have faith in yourself.

I have been failing for years, I didn't do anything to change it, even though I "wanted to" and reapplied to university after over a year of stopping.. I didn't bring myself to change, and wasted a year and bunch of money.. I feel like umm I'm coming to a dead end.. I hate it and feel very miserable, yet I don't do the simplest step to change, as if like I like to suffer.. I knew the consequences are horrible along the way, but I don't know why I'm not helping myself.. I want for this life to end. I claim that I want to change and will do stuff over and over again, but there's nothing.. I know I can't ask someone for help, because the only one who can help me, is me.. as I said, I failed myself and failed to help me.. no drive to anything, not looking to live forward to my gloomy future ( as I'm continuing this state)..

Hi there, It is always tough in the dark times to see any way out, almost like it is impossible. I can only speak from my experience in that the tough times did turn around and would also highly recommend speaking to someone you trust, if someone like that is available to you if you are struggling mentally. I will also link this www.mind.org.uk/need-urgent-help/using-this-tool/ - Mind are a charity that have helplines where you can speak to someone about your mental health if you feel as though you are needing it. My mother has always told me, a problem shared is a problem halved. I hope that whatever you are going through can be overcome.

Yes I think that would result in either a 2:2 or a 3rd, I ended up with being on the verge of a 2:1 after turning it round but didn’t quite manage unfortunately.
