Take the journey with us as full-time RVers with a Heavy Duty Truck, Mobile Suites Fifth Wheel, 2 Can-Am Spyders and a Smart Car.
We have been RVing since December 2017 and have learned a lot having a HDT, Fifth Wheel, and being able to tour the country's beautiful sites with our Spyders. We are sharing campground reviews, tours of the country, HDT and RV maintenance and the ugly stuff that happens too.
We sold our house in Georgia in 2017 and bought a used 2009 Volvo Semi-Tractor that was previously converted to a single axle bed with a deck for a Smart Car. We purchased a 2015 DRV Mobile Suites "sight unseen" and a 2013 Smart Car and hit the road. After the first year, we wanted to bring our two Can-Am F3T Motorcycles and had the Smart Car truck bed converted to hold the two Spyders with a lift to be stacked on top of each other. We still wanted the Smart Car with us, so we bought a Freedom Hauler to hitch to the back of the fifth wheel. Please enjoy our journey and subscribe.
That's funny. Just saying I grew up there and it's been years since I've been up to Pittsburg Landing but that's where I grew up I live in Northwest Oregon now or as we call it in Northwet Oregon
On my ice machine we used Gatorade bottles. Kept 12 of them so they would be frozen enough when we was ready for it in the rotation, filled them with water and froze them. The ice machine would hold 4 of them at a time and it totally saved a lot on the ice bill being we didn't have an ice maker...
Thank 😊 You so much for this video, I'm Soo terribly😱😭 terrorized to get my right knee replacement, because I look at the cut and the form of the knee after replacements, but not all knees look the same ,I it depends on that person body form on other videos and I get a weak 😢 😕 feeling like I'm on a narrow cliff, and I think that's what scares me the most because of the painful look and that it will take forever to heal ,but after looking at your video and hearing your calm voice and seeing your leg healed wonderful with determination I feel as If I have now have the confidence and I'm getting up the nerves to give the ok signal to my orthopedic doctor ,and I will always go to this video for the and will power to recovery.
Love Reed Bingham. We've camped there several times. Just live about 30 minutes away. Do convenient. We camped and I went to work in near by Moultrie. So nice. Glad you liked it😂
The small flies are no-see-ums. Keeps dryer sheet in your pocket and rub on your skin from time to time. It really works wonders. Only other option is a fire, the smoke keeps them away.
If you know how to back, curbside parking isn't as difficult as you made it. Admit it: You randomly chose that campground with no idea if you would fit. So you blame the campground staff. That lack of patience was completely unacceptable. Big rigs have very few spaces available in campgrounds.
We don't need the entire description of the campground that is available online. And Dude. The language and attitude just because you are irritated is uncalled for. Imagine if you were backing a 53' drybox/reefer into a Dollar General! The way you speak to your wife is divorce territory for me. Learn how to keep your cool under pressure.
Pilot, Flying J, or Love's Truck Stops. Or Iowa 80. That is not a suitable rig for "camping". As a former driver and company owner, I have zero patience for people who think they can take a road tractor into any campground in the US. The equipment isn't built for camping. The campground isn't built forthe equipment. Simple as.
Thanks for great advice.so glad you are going really well. Clever Husband making the Davenator for you he's quite a genious. I'm now 9 weeks love hydrotherapy find can't stand or walk long time hopefully one of these days as want to walk fir hrs again & ride my bike. Greetings from your home town of Sandusky, Ohio Karen! I have been watching your channel for several years, I knew you both were from Michigan, my jaw dropped when i heard you say you were from Sandusky! Curious if you still have family here and if you have been back in a while. Lots have changed just like in the small town in Ga. you were describing. Can't wait to see the house build!
Wow! Another Cedar Pointer,...I mean Sanduskian. No family there. Haven't been back since 2015. I bet it has changed a lot. I always like the big old homes on Columbus and Wayne Streets. I hope they did something with the downtown area...could be so much fun down by the water.
LIVING IN NEW ZEALAND IN A USA COTTAGE BY CEDAR CREEK AND GOING TO SWOP MY FILTER OUT WHEN THE PLUMBER DECIDEDS TO TURN UP SO ITS JUST GOING TO BE ON THE TAP END. GREAT VIDEO THANKS FOR POSTING. YOUR FILTER FROM THE HOSE END IS $85.00 HERE SO MIGHT SEARCH FOR A BIT CHEAPTER ONE.
We are building our last home also. We wanted something that would benefit us now and later so first we down sized so the pole barn on our property is now our home. We went with white wash bead board 2” in kitchen that runs into western cedar. Trying to get farm house country look with country western look. It’s starting to come together and looks amazing. I’m doing it myself but my advice to you is this being the last one don’t be afraid to do or try something new or different. Build it the way you want it not the way someone else wants it. Have fun with it.
@@WattsOnWheels I’ll get some pictures today just remember you will see things and think someone is living there cause we are. We’ve been asked a few times are y’all living in there. I’ve been working on it since January 3. All the kids are gone so we down sized and it’s 24x32 inside of a pole barn 24x40 with a 12x30 addition on the side for laundry room and Den. I’m making it simple and when the day comes and we need a wheelchair we have some room to move oh and ramps will be on all porches.
Thank you for being honest! I’m experiencing some of the same things you did. I’m 18 months post op left TKA and still have some healing pains I think. I also have quite a bit of scar tissue that I feel is causing my pain. Had an MRI last week. Waiting on the results. Thank you again for being transparent!
This place looks really nice. I’m planning on a 2-3 week trip and I think I’m going to try and stop by here. I’ve never heard of it before your video was recommended to me. Great work and walkthrough, so thank you for that!
We met friends there late one evening. We pitched our tent and went immediately to bed while my husband stayed up to decompress. Around midnight my husband sees a train coming right at us. He panics trying to figure out how he put the tent on train tracks without realizing it, panicking that he doesnt have enough time to get us all out of the tent before it hits us. As the rumble grew louder he can see the headlight of the train coming right at us when it suddenly veered away from us. My husbands blood pressure went back to normal and me and the kids were oblivious to the whole adventure. Oh the mishaps of camping 😂
@@WattsOnWheels this happened in 1991 and we haven't been back since. Looks like we need to revisit it and make more memories, hopefully less stressful, lol
Dave you kept your cool pretty good……I would have been a nut case by time it was all said and done! This beer is on me…CHEERS 🍻. Your Karen is the best! 😊🧉
Beautiful area, now run over by californians. Prices are pathetic wanna live there? You need $500K to start with for a regular spec home. Traffic is horrible now. Schools over run with too many got damn kids. We sold and move out. Winters are too long, too got damn cold and too much for my mental health.
Hi I just watched your video with closed captions (I am deaf) and it was VERY informative and encouraging. I have 2 bad knees and have been getting cortisone shots every 3 months they used to help for 3 full months and now it works for up to 2 months. I also tried the other shots (forgot what it is called it's where I had them once a week for 3 weeks this never helped at all). I am still scared especially the recovering part I see how it is worth it towards the end. You look great and I am glad your knee is doing well. Thank you.
HI. Thanks for watching. I had the Synvisc shots and cortisone shots at first too, but the same with me, after a while they didn't work as well and eventually had to get it replaced. Good luck in your decision and hopefully pain free knees in the future.
I usually soak the liver in milk over night then renc it off and coat it with flour with salt and pepper then fry it with saute onions and add brown gravy
Liked looking at your wedding pics! Glad you guys are getting the house you want and it will be accessible, we are in the same stage of life where you do have to think about those things! The area we live in used to be a wonderful, friendly calm place but since we have lived here the population has exploded lots of pretty nasty people have moved here and clogged the roads so much I just dread having to go to the grocery store. We are thinking seriously about our retirement place and just want peace and quiet. We considered the full time RV thing as well but I don’t think that will work for health reasons but maybe a small one for small excursions will do we will have to see. Looking forward to seeing your house built you guys just seem like a lovely couple.
Hi Linda. I know what you mean. You just want it like it used to be...quiet and friendly. Well, I guess we have to deal with the growth or get out. Eventually we will probably down size our rig. Thanks so much for watching.
