In this case, their singles have a very specific, outside of the band, purpose. Sense is anime show theme (Platinum End), and one of the others on the disc, Hibana, is the theme for a video gaming competition (Rainbow Six Siege). The other song on the disc, Corallium is the first song that Saiki wrote the lyrics to.

Overseas management is carried out by the United Talent Agency and is affiliated with Live Nation. They have announced that they will be touring the United States this year, so we're keeping an eye on how big it will be. Arousing much of America's interest is the way to conquer the world.

Probably a couple of things are happening with the single releases: 1) this is a practice Band-Maid has always had, i.e. interspersing singles between full album releases; and 2) two of the songs are commissions, but work perfectly outside of their commissioned context. Sense, for example, is the OP for a new anime, Platinum End: this is the full version of the one and a half minute TV version.

The orchestral opening was also composed by Kanami. She did have to reach out to get some questions answered, but now she has even more musical knowledge to apply to future compositions.

No... Band-Maid especially Kanami has so many ideas that they always put out ONE album a year and there is also enough material left for singles... I bet she has already 2 albums in her backpocket and i think i would win this bet! They released every year ONE album and that were full albums not just 8 songs or something like that. Round about 120 songs in 8 years is a HIGH number, think about it :) Nice to see you on Band-Maid again, have a great weekend everyone!

I just realized, starting at 3:39 in that subdued build-up, you can hear koto (or a harp? very similar instruments, but it sounds like a koto to me) in there. Very cool putting that in something else in addition to the Band-Maiko songs.

This single is the Band-Maid way of doing business. 😄 They produce so much material that every now and then they release stuff in between their yearly albums.

I need a big poster of that image of MISA being pierced through the heart by that beam of light. Magic.

Thank you for reacting to the BAND-MAID song. This song "SENSE" was written and composed by BAND-MAID as the theme song of the anime "Platinum End". "Platinum End" is a story that when a god changes, 12 god candidates are selected as angels and fight, and the last one left is the god. The 12 god candidates fight with wings that can fly faster than light, a red arrow that grabs the heart, and a white arrow that destroys everything. The wings that appear in the "SENSE" Music Video are conscious of the wings of the god candidate, and the spotlight represents the arrow of the god candidate. If you listen again with such background knowledge, you can understand the goodness of this song further with the playing technique of BAND-MAID.

What some called sensory overload is Bliss for me, Mincho is a genius at composing. Band-Maid creating sound tracks for anime is a perfect fit, and the bands diversity makes you wonder if there is anything they cannot do at this point. Well there is one thing Band-Maid cannot do and that is "disappoint", you knew that was coming :)
