Its great that you leave in the fact that you messed up; a lotbof beginning quilters think that longtime quilters don't make simple mistakes...SOOOOO not true. Seam rippers are your best friends!
Such a great tutorial! So easy to listen to & follow. Enjoyed your humor so much. Am new to piecing / quilting - can't wait to make stained glass blocks; I already have some fabrics in mind (scraps from clothes my daughters wore as youngsters)😁
New sub here, new to quilting also, I don’t even have a sewing machine yet. You make it so easy to follow. I love the look of stained glass quilts, thanks for explaining how to do it, you made it look easy and very do able 👍🏽🙋🏽♀️ I too came for the quilting and stayed for the swearing 🙋🏽♀️😁😊
I don't know what I love most, the beautiful stained glass block, the use of tiny scraps, the honesty to the whole video, or your wonderful humor. I truly enjoyed the whole video and I can't wait to make a quilt using this great idea. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Really useful, I bought a sashed stained glass quilting kit three years ago, but couldn’t make sense of the instructions, it’s now clear! The swearing made me laugh, but the suddenly very loud noise of your intermission section startled me a lot more.😂
This is the first time I have found you Samantha. You are a genius for figuring this one out in a way I can grasp it. A "real" quilter instead of having the quit police in your studio. Love your style. I have always admired this bock but was have been intimidated to try it until now. Thanks a bunch. Keep up the great vids.
I just found this video, and I've been thinking about making a stained glass quilt. I absolutely LOVE yours, the colors, tutorial, everything! I have a question for you. Sometimes when you look at actual stained glass, there are some diagonal pieces too. Do you have any ideas on how to get that look?
Loved that you included your drama. Just proves $#!T happens to all of us! Had to try this method of skinny 'stained glass'/solder-line/cool-looking sashing. Yup, it really works. Yay! Thanks for tutorial. Sorry you had a 'sucky' moment, but glad you vented. Showed us you're totally normal and aren't afraid to share. Haha. Hey, you've got this YT camera/video stuff...so please keep it coming! :)
