I have to admit, I'm newer to the whole Samsung life and felt humbled by the sheer number of features that come with this ecosystem. Thank you for explaining things in a kindly and clear manner! Makes me feel more confident about my tech purchases haha!
Hello Branden, Thanks for the review. I have a question if you could answer it. I study applied physics/electronics engineering and I am currently using the surface Go 2 from 2020 with the old surface pen that goes with it with onennote to do all my lecture note taking, problem solving, assignments etc. problems with it: during lectures i have to write a mile a minute and it can be quite jittery and not so responsive when i have to zoom in/out and scroll down/up with my fingers, it can also randomly get quite hot where the processor is (even though only onennote/onedrive is open) and the worst thing is the screen is quite small so i have to scroll up/down and zoom in/out quite a lot in onenote. Another thing is if i insert the lecture slides and write/notetake over them, it starts to become quite laggy when there is a lot of content/notes. I have been strongly considering getting the surface pro 11 with the pen/regular keyboard combo. I am wondering if you think it is worth to upgrade from the surface go 2 to the surface pro 11 in my case? Would these problems persist if I upgraded?
I want to see: 1. Colors 2. Providing a Light for night reading/working. Maybe by making the upper part of the device as light strip & having it foldable toward the screen to shed light on it. 3. Skimming button. A cylindrical rubbery button on the side of the device (up or middle) when you press to side or diagonally with thumb will let you skim through pages like a paper book or note. This will give a feeling of real book when quickly skimming pages. You can control the speed of skimming through settings. 4. Remotely sharing screens & working with others on notes to discuss a subject or formulating an idea. Both parties can write on the note during discussion. If you're interested to hear more let me know please.
that is a tough question. It really depends on your overall goals. We are actually working on a comparison video. With that said, if I am looking at a device that is my primary note taking device. I would suggest the 11 inch as it is most like a sheet of paper in writing space. However, if you want to do any multi tasking while you are taking notes, then I would suggest the larger screen.
@@bodendorfer I can’t seem to make a whole page on the screen it comes out with like a note pad look. Also can I make my whole page a color?like a whole page of baby blue instead of white paper?
The planner you are asking about is the Key2Success Planner. It comes in four editions starting at $29. You can learn more about the planner for Samsung Notes here: Samsung Notes Planner Shop: bit.ly/3M0Q1H6
Sir i am student and i need a tablet around 550$ Can you please suggest me a good android tablet from your opinion in which apps like goodnotes and notability work properly Sir i was considering oneplus pad 2 because i am hoping they might have fix their stylo high latency problem of other apps like goodnotes in new stylo 2, but for now there is no evidence to it
I don't know why so many people are making such a big deal about the MS Bluetooth keyboard, and its functionality. Yes, it's a good feature. But you always could use a BT keyboard with older surface pros, as I have done for years. The surface pro is so functional because it's so versatile. Don't wait for MS to provide a packaged way to use that functionality. Another example -- using the SP in portrait mode. MS needs to design and implement a kickstand that works for both landscape and portrait. Easily done. And when MS does that, all will sing its praises. But until they do, just get a portable tablet stand.

No there is no profile sync between the devices linked to your Microsoft account. I don't believe any ecosystem does this currently, but that would be a great feature if you could set up custom workspaces, like you can with Adobe apps.
I’m new to the pencil pro period first one ever the find my is nice but my pencil was 100% charged last night this morning it’s dropped 25% of its charged if you don’t realize until 4 days later you’ve lost it I don’t think it’ll work out too good for you lol I like mine though
3:40 that kinda went bad. it started in landscape and I don't think you gestured much to put it into portrait mode and it auto rotated to portrait. Then when he goes to zoom out, it missed the touch sensors and started zooming out on it's own. When he tries to zoom back in, it missed his touch gestures. The pen doesn't to register very well, he has to write slow so that the lag catches up, probably explains why there's no in depth review of the touch aspect. Definitely paid review or you would've called them out on these things. I think the product is a great idea and I hope it improves on the touch part.
You bring up some valid points. I will be frank I wasn't paid for the review. I will explain myself a little bit. When you are creating videos your mind is in too spots. Fliming and doing. With that said, you will notice that the device was not vertical, so it didn't rotate. As for the pen, there is been a handful of software updates that does improve this.
@kaylarief3509 in this video I am using the stylus that is available with the device. And penly app does worth with all andriod devices. Another one to consider is Nebo. Which I have a review on my channel as well.
Great job Brandon! Wish I had this when I was in my bachelor's & master's program. Still loving my planner. Working great in balancing my pastoral, Chaplin, and my home life. It definitely keeps me on task! Blessings to you
Around 7:20 you say, that the device is lighter and has a better resolution screen. This is not correct. Both weight and resolution are the same compared to the two previous versions of Surface pro (8+9). The oled screen and the powerful and power efficient snapdragon are the only things really standing out here.
Remarkable needs to remove things they added to the software and that make it less user friendly: - Remove the “add page” icon. New pages should be added automatically with the next page gesture, like in older versions of the software. Much better. - The unlimited page length made navigation very clumsy, and at the same time didn’t provide full unlimited canvas experience because width is limited. For this reason, this feature should be removed for notebooks, and add instead a new type of document called “unlimited canvas” in which you have only ONE page of unlimited size. - Typed text should be removed. It’s very uncomfortable to use with the on-display keyboard, and if you use the hardware keyboard it’s heavy and thick. Remarkable is about lightness and minimalism. - Don’t add backlit screen please. People wanting this need an iPad. Period. Now, for things that should be added: - Thicker brush modes. It’s disappointing that you don’t have gigantic thick brushes for painting big areas. - A set of gray tones to choose from. Four or five grays would be fine. A slider for fine-tuning your own gray shades would be excellent. - Color eink would be of course an amazing experience, but only if you do it great. If it makes the drawing experience less responsive and less fluid, don’t add color and better concentrate on gray shades as I said above.
Great insight on what could be with this device, but I have a few ideas based on my own experiences. As having owned a few different versions of e-ink tablets RM1 & RM2, Super note, Ipad Pro & Kobo Elipsa coloured as well as EEE note 800 to name a few. Each in their own way had something to offer the others didn't, but not one of them did it perfectly. For example Remarkable has ease of use but super note, had the better pen, EEE note had the camera at the back but the Kobo had the colour and the backlight and I agree with you there, not everyone has the time during the day to write. Though, these days, I tend to use the super note more than the remarkable for writing with a pen, simply because the experience is better. If Remarkable does decide to release the model 3 (And I hope they do!) I would like if they would consider the following. People use these for one or two things taking notes and to keep journals, and I hope that when they do decided to release the next one, that the camera is on the back along with publishing software to use with the keyboard as that would be a start. Another is the pen, I really don't like the one for remarkable (I have the one with the eraser) it just does not feel right, I've used the super note version and believe me, it feels more like a biro than any of them. That, the eraser gesture is pretty good. Also if they would add a spell checker as an app. My reason behind this is they claim people use these for writing, then what's the harm in adding one? I get frustrated as in the middle of typing a letter I have to go and find a dictionary to figure the correct spelling especially since I tend to switch my phone off at night. I really would like to use this device more, but as it stands, it's just a novelty at the moment, hopefully they can do better. Also, they need to fix the reading of books on this, as compared to the others, they are getting left behind. Even super note has the Kindle app.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Your perspective is valuable to me. I'm always glad to hear from engaged individuals like yourself. Thank you for contributing to the conversation. Have a wonderful day!
Nice look at the benefits of a detachable design like the Surface Pro. The wireless keyboard and pen combo is expensive but you can get much cheaper type covers brand new or used, including compatible ones for older models like the Pro 8 and Pro X.
This may be very true. And the cost is indeed expensive. One thing to consider is that I have used the last keyboard with three different devices. Generally, these keyboards don't upgrade that often so you can count on a longer use of it.
