It might not offer audiophile sound quality, but four beefy channels of over 1kW@8Ω each in a relatively compact casing are enough to make this a nice budget solution for audio amplification. It's enough for pushing almost any speaker cabinet to its limit.
This is a video for idiots. There was not one shred of useful comparital data explained, offered, and certainly not given. You should put in your title a name that actually describes what you're doing. Something along the lines of, guy that doesn't know a damn thing about anything electronic points out the obvious and can count from 10 to 12. That would work and would be very honest. All the same thanks for your effort cheers
@@SoundGuy-vn3kl yeah, they aren't what they used to be, only modern amps by a reputable manufacturer that are built fairly close is the qsc rmxa amplifiers, it's pretty sad how things have changed.
INFINITY MACHINE from Jamaica Queens N.Y. used CERWIN VEGAS back in the Mid 1970’s to early 1980’s , they had 1 of the BIGGEST and BEST Sounding Systems in all of N.Y.C. back then 😎 D.J. DIVINE has a YOU TUBE Channel showing his Equipment of that Era 🤔
My sinbosen fp10q blew up on me during an event. Ever since i got it it had a bad smell of hot electronics. Not quite a burnt electronics smell but still weird. I‘ve been running it hard a couple times and the smell stayed but it also kept working normally so i thought that was normal. During the event i suddenly noticed the level meter on channel a creeping towards clip. I turned it down all the way but it kept creeping up until it hit vpl, lit all leds and then literally blew up. A loud but deep „pop“. I still habe warranty but sinbosen customer support (alice and crystal wang) really take their time with replying. Now they send me a video tutorial of how to diagnose the amp myself. I‘m a bit worried to open it up. They told me they will send the replacement parts i need once i figure out what part failed. I have to pay for shipping tho… Also even if i get it fixed the blowing up just seems to be a symptom of another problem (probably related to the smell). I was very happy with the amp until this happened. I‘ll gladly take any advice or guesses on what the smell could be, how to best handle the repair and such. For anyone looking to buy one, they are good and well built amps. The money you save compared to the original lab.Gruppen just costs you proper support and you have to be prepared to handle any problems on your own. (Again please post tips or thoughts, i would really appreciate it)
Well, first things first what kind of power were you giving the amplifier and was the amplifier in a proper ventilated area? and what little did you have on the amplifier meaning ohms? There’s a lot of factor here. I have been running the these amps for over 10 years. Never had a problem once and I run them very hard.
@@alexkill13 if you watched the last video I posted I talked about the audio control, epicentre that I added to the system let me tell you it made a world of a difference on the low frequencies
@@SoundGuy-vn3kl Yes i think i see the video.. I have an av7705 av receiver and im gonna set it up with a minidsp.. I think it will help.. What should be my crossover 25 ? What epicenter did ? correct room with mic like minidsp or add somethings ?
How are the lab gruppen clones working out for you? Thinking of ordering one for my small PA, to replace a rack full of A/B amps from QSC, Peavey, Mackie, Behringer etc… hoping to save weight. Thoughts?
To be honest with you, I have been using them for 10 years never had a problem and here in Canada a few other of A/V companies that I sold them to never had a problem with one so they’re holding up very good as long as you give them the right power, you should never have a problem
@@SoundGuy-vn3kl okay. I am thinking to order the FP10000Q off eBay for $799, $90 shipping. Should I go for it? I will be running 2 tops and 4 subwoofers off of it.
Haven’t seen anyone using a audio control on bass before, most systems use a bass expander or bbs maximiser even the dbx sub harmonic on bass. How good is it?
That must sound awesome! How do you incorporate the Epicenter into the system and how does it affect the bass? I was thinking of doing that also but could not find any references to anyone doing it.
It’s sounds epic thanks I ran a 12v power supply and let me tell you it made the subs sound so full when I first thought about it I thought it wouldn’t do anything but it made a world of a difference night and day
@@SoundGuy-vn3kl Cool! I'm going to try it and give you some feedback on my results. Right now I have a mono graphic eq hooked up to my sub to tune the bass but I'm having mixed results. The boominess is gone and it has a flatter response but the bass seems anemic
