I’m Tony, a paint pouring artist from Regina, Canada, and I knew I needed to give pouring a try myself after I found it. After my very first pour I was hooked and I really enjoy every part of the process.
I’ve discovered that I really enjoy the colour purple and it seems to make its way into a lot of my acrylic pours. Lol On my channel, I am experimenting with a lot of different acrylic pouring techniques like swipes, flip cups, puddle pours, ring pours and hopefully so many more.
If you’d like to learn how I create my acrylic pour paintings please follow along by liking and subscribing to the channel!
A fun fact about me is that I never liked art when I was younger, but have found that it has really helped me as an adult. I pour in part for my mental health, it helps to keep me grounded.
I’m so happy that I found this art form, and I’m happy you’re here with me!
Hey Tony, hope you recognize me,resin artists here. I have never seen any fluid painting without black or white, with just 3 gorgeous colors you created such beautiful pouring results 😍😍💜💜
Hi, tony, Wooow!!, At first i thought of a marbled vinyl record, this would look amazing as one!, an amazing pour, reminds me of the ocean ripples, the colours blend well with the patterns, many regards, Ian 7 Zey :)
I have been pouring for only a few months and I have scraped paint several times when the pour has turned out horrible. I always save my scrapings to use as an extender or sometimes if the color turns out good enough to use in a new painting. I have also done pours over old dried paintings that I felt were not good enough. I have tried to salvage a bad pour but usually end up with a mess. You did an outstanding job of salvaging your painting.
@@gulfgal98 Thank you! I’ve really tried my best to make something out of everything I’ve poured. I’m also a lot more careful with what I make these days. Great idea keeping the paint for another use too if you decide to scrape it. Keep up the good work!
@@AugustsAcrylicArt Thanks August! I used artist loft medium, but Liquitex soft bodied acrylic. I haven’t used Liquitex pm in quite awhile, it’s a lot different than I’m used to. Thanks for watching!
@@tonysfluidart I used to use American Floetrol (sometimes with a little GAC 800) and now I’m on the bloom PM using BEHR 3300 mixed with Varathane Triple Thick. Today I’m trying a flip cup with the bloom PM so fingers crossed it comes out well. 😂
You saved it🎉 I have taken them out side and hosed the old paint off if still wet. If dry and I didn’t use silicone I did the same as you just did . I’m too lazy to sand 😂 I’ve only been watching and trying for two years . weeks that everything is wrong Then that magic moment, good luck to you.
@@SharSpencer Thanks Sharon! Yes, the ups and downs of each week are fun lol I’m glad this one turned out, because it found a new forever home about a month later, so for that I’m grateful I didn’t light it on fire. 😂
I don't think I could have brought myself to swipe over what I saw as a really nice pattern but you did and it turned out great so what do I know? Nice one Tony.
SUPER GORGEOUS!! I don't have the ability to have Australian Floetrol, so I wonder if the ratios for CA with American Floetrol would do the same in producing the beautiful lacing...🤔. I've tried 4:1 and although I did get lacing, it wasn't what I was expecting or hoping for. Still turned out to be gorgeous, just not what my mind pictured happening. I love watching your videos, as always ❤
Thanks so much for watching! I don't use silicone often, no. I've found that this cell activator works much better, but there is always a certain place for silicone oil on a intentional look!
@@krisburgess7757 😅 That’s a very good question. I think Piper (the cat) and I have an understanding about what she can and can’t do. lol She’s never been a big jumper to begin with so I’m thankful for that. She’s not too interested in what I’m up to. 🙂
@@tonysfluidart you’re lucky. I just got two curious kittens. My studio is in my basement where there litter boxes are located. So I can’t close the door. I have a screened in porch but we also have little bugs out there as well as the garage. It’s a challenge.
@@krisburgess7757 Yes, I'd love to get off of the dining room table some day, which may mean I move downstairs closer to the cats things, and I'm not sure I'd ever paint outside with our winds/bugs. But yes, I do think I'm pretty luck she's lazy lol
@@MichaelaBolton-xo2gs Thanks for watching Michaela! The white you saw is an iridescent acrylic also know as pearlescent’s that mix white. So, although I used four colours which dry the color they’re supposed to, they mix white. When I use them I also label the cups so I don’t forget which color is which. The pearlescent paint dries brightest on a black or darker background as well. I hope that helps!
@@tonysfluidart thank you! You are a truly gifted artist. I will send some of my subscribed members(when I get my site settled). Thanks again! Please, no need to reply.
