Metallics are the best! I decided to start over try and pour with paints I used when I was a beginner and learning. It was a really great experiment. :) The metallic colors I used went together very well and the acrylic pour turned out really pretty!
All things considered, everything turned out very nicely but I’m glad that I decided to start using a higher quality of paint in the last year. Have you tried any experiments of how you used to pour your paintings? I’d love to hear what you’ve tried and how things turned out!
I'd love your feedback on how this pour turned out. Leave your comments below!
💫 My art is also for sale so please stop by my website and gallery as well at www.tonysfluidart.com :)

I love your videos and I love metallic paint. I’m better at watching your lessons than actually pouring. I suck at it but still try. I’m glad you talked about heavier paints because I didn’t understand how that effects what your doing.

Love this Tony. Your instructions are so clear and I’m loving the blues! They really compliment each other and the copper was beautiful. I love metallics too ❤

Love the blues in there!! And the black running through it. I haven’t gone back and used the paint that I started with because it was all the ready to pour pre-mix, lol.

I’ve never liked ready to pour myself to be honest. It’s just way thinner than I’m used to lol Thanks so much August, I appreciate the feedback!

I like that the copper came through at the end. But I especially like that dark area with the blue lacing. Beautiful! I still use some Artist loft colors mixed into Amsterdam, those metallics are my favorite that Artist loft has.

Thanks Cherish! There are a handful I like, but i really tend to stick to Amsterdam and Liquitex these days. Good idea mixing them together too though! Thanks for watching.. :)

Turned out really nice in the end. I'm always confused by 'Ivory Black' as all the ivory I've seen is white/cream ;-) I've kinda moved away from Artist's Loft paint as I found they get lumpy. I even had to return a tube once because the paint wouldn't come out at all. Thanks for an interesting video Tony.

Thanks Paul! Yes, I agree with the lack of ivory in the black, and I hadn't used it in quite some time, but was fun to try. Amsterdam and liquitex seem to be more to my liking these days. Thanks for watching!

I plan to do somenthing strange: pour the colors into 2D shapes milled on wood (oak) surface. The shapes are 0.2-04 mm deep (i.e. around 1/64"). The color should perfectly fill the shapes and reach the surface level or more (I can then sand or "mill away" the color excess if necessary). Can I use the Liquitex Medium Fluid for such task? It is enough thick to create such thicker layer of color? Maybe it will fracture/break after dried? Somebody has experience of something like that?
@tonysfluidart
@tonysfluidart 4 месяца назад
Thanks so much for the question! To be honest I don’t have any experience with milling any surface with my pours as most are on canvas. I’m sure this would be possible with a resin of some sort but I may reach out to Liquitex or someone with some history working with that type of thing.

@@tonysfluidart Hello Tony, it would be great if you could get some info for me. I know for sure the polyurethan resin works great in such cases, and you can also add inks/pigments to it. Nevertheless, in my experience, polyurethan resin could change in a more "yellowish" color with time. I'm a little bit scared of that. Also, I was never able to eliminate the formation of air bubbles during the mixing of the components. I could buy a vacuum device for that, but this would complicate the process. A "ready-to-use" solution would be much better for me.
