Keep it Simple! I love how nicely this Pearl painting turned out, and how bright the colors popped once it was done!
Thanks to Molly for the inspiration on this acrylic pour, I just love it. I kept my lines nice and tight wanting to create a specific design, and I’m so happy with it!
If you haven’t had a chance to try Amsterdam Pearlescent colors yet, they are a high recommended!

My favorite all time favorite paint to use in Goldens interference blue. Oh my lawd! I love to mix it with phthalo green and a dab of aqau colorshift. Maybe with a dash of ultramarine blue. It makes the most gorgeous colors even more gorgeous. I mix all sorts of custom colors to pour with using the purple flash, aqua flash from folk art, and Goldens interference blue and mixing them with other colors to create one of a kind custom colors. I'd be happy to share a few of my favorite color mixes if you're interested. I know you love that purple flash like I do!

This is great Holly, thank you! I’ve never tried Golden but would like to give it a try. And yes I do enjoy the color shifts Folk Art makes.🙂 I’d love to hear more about what you mix, I don’t custom mix much at all and would need to learn a bit more before trying it out. Thanks!

Love the Deco Art Media Fluid Interface/Irridescent they have the same colors but the shades are different. They also have a Pearl Magenta and Pearl Turquoise!

I tried this not long ago in a puddle pour. My paint was too thin and tilting made it into gray. The next time paint was too thick and it wouldn’t move right. I like your style much better. You’re a pro!

Amber Goodwin did an experiment Golden verses Amsterdam and the Golden paints were brighter.

I appreciate it so much!! I used 30ml paint, 30ml pouring medium (artist loft) and 40ml floetrol. Pearls mix pretty thick so I needed a little bit of water for consistency afterward. Thanks for watching!! 🙂

Hey there Tony! Thank you for the video. It’s a really great piece! I have a dumb question for you. When you’re making the patterns by doing the side-to-side and diagonal motion, is that just the other side of a small paint brush or is that like a specific stick that does well for this type of thing? Side note: it’s really amazing how the colors changed when you did the tilt. I could barely see a difference at the start. It all just looked white and black lol

Hi Logan, I appreciate you watching! Yes, it’s just the back of a small brush. It had a rounded tip, so is a bit more gentle on the canvas. The pearl paints are really fun, and luckily they give a tiny hint of color as you begin to tilt. They are hard to figure out though in the beginning! Thanks again!
