Hello. Interesting video. I have a Vectra C with a Z18XE engine. When replacing the timing belt, I used a plastic timing gear lock. In Poland, it cost about 12 euros. It makes the job easier because the wheels are immobilized. Best regards.
I know this is an old video but it was of great use to me this weekend when i had to replace mine. You most certainly saved me some time and gave me more confidence to carry out the job. Thankyou
The timing belt on these actually seems pretty easy compared to most. Once that air box is out of the way there is a lot of room. I wish all engines had that much room to work. Oh, and the zip tie trick is great. I probably would have just shoved something in between the gears if I hadn't seen that.
SS seats were part of vs bt1 pursuits.looling at speedo, did you notice a little light above speedo?they would be up your ass judging your speed without you knowing it. I had a vs bt1, tylical saleman Selling bs agajn
This is why bonding a lubricant to the inside of your engine is a good idea. That way there is always lubrication even if the owner forgets to change the oil. The oil also lasts longer as less wear occurs. 🙂
G’day mate. Can I ask, how much would a mechanic charge for this job? I think I need mine done. Also, are you in Queensland? I might just bring it to you.
Hi, i have a problem that flashing air bag and horn toots when I press cruise control on, obd fault codes B1049 .my car nissan nv 200 model 2012, thank you
I have an fg xr6 that feels like it has sticky brakes. When the cars in the air and you press the brakes, all 4 wheels are unable to be rotated for a good 2 seconds after the brake pedal has been let off. Would making this adjustment to the rod fix this?
Why didn't you actually show how you put the chain and gears on. I need to know how to get the chain past the tensioner without taking the cam covers off and listening the tensioner bolts up. That's the only way I can see being able to get the chain past the tensioner even with it fully compressed mine has no room to pass over the lip on the tensioner foot.
haha, if you're gonna remove the bonnet, GET OUT YOUR WHITE-OUT PEN AND TRACE THE BONNET BRACKETS FIRST, you ever tried to line it up then have to close it a million times to check the hood catch and gaps all line up? naaah, it's a bloody nightmare. SO, white-out pen folks
