मेघवाल जाति कबीर-रैदास पंथी रही है। भारत में कबीर पर प्रोजेक्ट करने आए लोगों को भारत में कबीर इसी मेघवाल जाति में मिले। प्रहलाद टिपानिया जी भी इसी समाज से हैं जिनके पूरखे मारवाड़ से मालवा में जाकर बस गए 150-200 सालों पहले।
