I am so in love with maatibani because she brings music talents from all around the world. Thank you maatibani. Can you believe the tap dancing sounds are from Ukraine where war is going on .That shows music brings peace to the world.
I love the amount of effort you guys put into these productions....truest form of passion...lovely music! The tap, all the percussions, the Violin by Ambi Subramaniam, your angelic voices and the all the other strings...can't describe the beauty! Absolutely lovely!
Maati Baani hardly ever disappoint with their productions. And it is great to see that they keep bringing something fresh each time without losing touch of the roots. The tap dancing concept on this track was brilliant.
Listening to this wonder of a creation, I found myself submerged in a blessed sea of euphonious sounds, lilting melodies and overjoying rhythms. Every new creation of yours leaves me entranced, and more so it did this time. A brilliant reimagination of an already magnificent song in terms of the concept, execution and performances. A song that weaves in Carnatic and Hindustani styles seamlessly, with the sizzle of percussive tap dance, Jao Piya truly highlights the essence of all the art forms. I don't know where to begin describing this carnival of emotions. The choice of timbres and textures is profound. The virtuoso Abhay with his guitar slides, the maestro Ambi with his unique style and skills makes the violin sing. The groove and rhythm held by Tao and Shalini, the soundscape created by the string ensemble perfectly complement the beauteous melody highlighting the gleeful hues of Raga Sarang. The incorporation of Tap dance performed excellently by Anastasia and Sergey adds a remarkable touch to the song. The vocals by Mrs Shah are perfect in every way, one of the bests performances of her. Nothing will be enough of a description of Mr Shah's expertise in intermingling sounds to create a masterpiece. The exposition with the gliding notes of the carnatic guitar, sets the right mood , like the beginning of a beautiful folklore, gentle yet impactful. The entry of the tapping feet bring in a boost of energy to evolve into the groove resolving to something familiar, the delightful riff, but this time ,different and nuanced. This is followed by the vocal melody enchanting the listener more and more after listen. The energetic and danceable characteristic of the piece is maintained and elevated with the tarana. I can't help but join everytime while listening to it, trying to be a part of the song. The interlude to the verse creates a dreamy atmosphere by the violin and the guitar solos, backed by the brilliant harmony of the strings, so well produced it seems like a conversation between the instruments. The verse presents the finesse of Mrs Shah's vocals, like a thrush in the woods, like gleaming stars. The improvised solo selection is so well edited that it feels like a live interaction among musicians. The recapitulation with the taan is an instance of sheer genius. Comparing it to the previous version, it is evident how the music of Maati Baani has grown to become much more nuanced, intricate and inspiring. The production is one of the best ever by Mr. Shah, with a perfect blend of harmonic, melodic and rhythmic complexities, but everything feeling very natural and resolved. I am so grateful to be able to experience such a piece of art. Eagerly waiting for more such wonders. Also if you read this, I am very eager to indulge in future renditions of Rasikaa, Nirali ma'am. Hope they come out soon. With forever love and admiration, Jahnvi Hope you continue to be a source of immense joy in my life. : ) And please mind the extravagantly elaborate description.
Keep up the good work .... Nice fusion of North & South India ... With the added tap dance of Ukraine .... Yes ..Stop the war !!!! ...if only it could !!!
This channel is a rare gem. Your work is fresh and experimental. Some of the songs are nothing like I've ever heard before. Great job. Wish you guys all the best.
I love it! What a medley of vocals, music and emotions. I am going to crash Spotify by keeping this on loop for the coming days and weeks. I also love how your style seems to originate and resemble to that of Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar. (I know why, but had to put it out). Thank you for this masterpiece, I've been eagerly waiting for something like this. #JaoPiya #GaaoPiya
It was amazing!! I loved it so much!! Maati Baani the best!!! ❤️🔥 As a guitar player I have to mention that I loved every single guitar solo!! Abhay Nayampally, This guy is amazing!!
I came across this song and the moment I realised its fusion song, I closed the song since I hate fusion and remix music. Now when I gave it a shot I have to admit that its very well synchronized and really amazing..so amazing that I played this in loop for 3 times. Keep it up!!!
