Hi, I have both of these but whenever I record at the level where it matches yours there is a ton of fuzz in the background. I actually have the DR-40X, but I doubt it makes too much difference. Can you tell me why there would be loads of fuzz?
Tyler: "I don't know what Initialize does" Also Tyler: "Sometimes it will reset the settings, I don't know why" Thanks for the great video, just a short tip back: Initialize actually does not format the card, but all the settings back to factory settings. Hope that helps too! :)
The fact you call wanderlust affordable is hilarious! The reality is you’re sending maybe a couple hundred dollars, tops, to some poor slaver video editor while the company keeps 70% or more LOL yeah no… hard pass on them.
Great Video on the A6300! - are you available for a quick paid for consult? I have a few questions specific to shooting video in a small playhouse with bright lights and would sure love some good advice and tips on that setting... ie issues with washed out faces, etc. Thanks so much!
Hey man just want to say thank you for this video. I bought this same device the menu doesn’t have the same as yours . But it’s funny because it appears you did video 5 years ago and in tech land thats yonks ( Ages) but still this recorder was made well and sound is incredible…
Under Rec Mode:: Source, I don't have the "EXP INDEP" options.. That option is just not there on my Tascam DR-40. What gives? * Update * I updated the firmware, and all those extra settings appeared. It's worth leaving this comment here in case anyone else has the same issue.
Thanks, still slightly confused though. I want to use this with two lavalier XLR mics. Which will plug into two ports. If I choose Mono, it only records one of them, if I choose Stereo, it seems like it will record one lav mic on the left track and one on the right track.. which isn't what I want.. So I have to use 'dual', which creates two sound files at different levels? It seems like this is the option I have to choose.. ?
@tylerherrington When I apply the LUFS it blows my sound out (not using the "right" terminology), suddenly my peaks are in the red, and most of my podcast is in the yellow... What do I do there? To clarify this is on a solo track.
I have the same question. I am not peaking until I run his TMC and HL and ML. I wonder what his peak amplitude and total RMS Amplitude decibels were prior to running these effects. I wonder if it makes a difference if I've already normalized to -3 db earlier in my effects? It's the first thing I do so I can even hear my recording. (I don't have an audio board to adjust the recording levels.)
It’s interesting that you made a comment about being intimidated by the building process, and that it stopped you but you then also reference upgrading the CPU which is just as intimidating.
Surprised this doesn't have more views! It's one of the best videos I've watched on the topic with so much good practical advice I can actually implement and am excited to try. I started doing the 2x before watching this but definitely should have started a long time ago with that! I already watch all YT videos on 2x speed anyway. Thanks for sharing these great tips!
Some of our clients told us that outsourcing allowed them to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality content, making their clients happier. And as we can also enhance poor audio files, they were able to get a crisp and clear sound without hearing the wind (wedding near the beach).
Thank you for the clear explanation of CPU and GPU and why I care. I was worried that I’d done overkill on my MacBook M3 CPU decision and you’ve put that fear to rest.
Could have been explained for much newer newbies. How do I access the view he's showing? How do you get your audio into the timeline? How do I apply effects? I can't see much on his screen , etc. Start at 0, please!
@@themdg I asked chatGPT yesterday for 20 minutes: if there's any way to undo changes to an effect (and not undo the whole effect altogether). Pressing ⌘ + Z would always undo the last action in the timeline editing, NOT just the last action within editing of an effect. It eventually told me that it just can't be done in Adobe Audition, which is hard for me to believe. Maybe you know any better?
With these cameras costing more than 99% of all iPhones idk why it doesn’t have some form of a security feature. Some camera cost as much as vehicles. But have zero security features. Like can it come with a passcode or sum?! Like somebody could hit a lock on a RED camera and the owner would literally be SOL on an investment that cost as much as a car. 🤦🏾♂️
