Hi everyone,I’m Paul…..Campervan Adventures is a channel about me tinkering on my Vw T5 Van 2007 T28 Transporter.I will make videos of the things I do,modifications and changes I make to it,and if there’s anything you as the viewer would like to see or ideas on what you’d like me to film I will.I’ve owned it for about 7 years now,but only just started on you tube.So don’t be shy, come and say hi and maybe subscribe and if you have any comments please don’t hesitate, and leave a thumbs up👍😉
Hi mate(thanks for your message)…..the self adhesive backed carpet is absolutely spot on mate. The glue on the back is evenly coated(so unlike adding your own adhesive,we’re you can add to little)this has even heavy coverage.Ok it’s probably not the cheapest, but mines been in my van since I applied it…..must be getting on for 9 years or so now,no sagging or lifting anywhere….hope this helps you😉👍
No problem,it’s we’re I get mine from…..Ive also got a video on some vynl I bought as a sample……having used that I bought about 3 metres in grey(but never used it,was going to do a video on it ages ago….it’s still sat there lol)
Hey man, great video, I’ve bought an LED light bar, tried connecting the negative to the blue and the positive to the red but no luck, just using the wires from the left bulb, do you think if I connected both the blue and both the red to the LED light bar I’ve bought would work? Looking for the cheaper easier alternative to have done lol
A quick tip mate FORGET WD40 - with proper seized bolts it does NOWT! Use PLUS GAS - I swear by it and over the years its NEVER failed toget bolts free - otherwise rusted bolts just LAUGH at WD40. Ive gotta drop my wheel and see if my bolts come out. I soeaked them MONTHS ago in PLus Gas so fingers crossed! ALSO get yourself some MOLE GRIPS they shift ANYTHING! Another trick once a stuck bolt DOES turn DONT try to wind it right out. the way is LOOSEN - TIGHTEN - LOOSEN - TIGHTEN bit by bit it will come out. byt tightening you take the nice oily bit of bolt BACK into the nut. Theres nowt worse than cracking a nut or bolt of then rushing to just wind it right out and the last 2 threads STICK AGAIN and its an angle grinder or hacksaw job!
@@CampervanAdventures really love the way it looks, and am thinking of changing the stuff we have in ours as it needs refreshing so looked on Amazon and found some like that
@@Ghettosmurf207 cool, you can buy it at Wilko and B&Q to.The van is a 2007 van(T5)but I changed it to a T5.1 when I bought it…..she’s due another face lift this year(T6.1)I’ve got all the stuff to do it,thinking of going Audi merlin purple to.Just haven’t made a video in awhile, didn’t think the channel was going anywhere so don’t know if I’ll do any videos on changing it all over or not yet?
Father in law bought a very bet up Mercedes Vito w638 done a load of work on it,just to get it through its mot(welding ect)…..doing it up,making it into a daytime/Campervan.Right at the beginning I thought about making videos on it,but didn’t lol probably should of now…..but I might buy a beat up T4 or T5 and make videos of saving stuff from the scrapyard
@@CampervanAdventures brilliant will tell the other half as that’s her department haha, mines a 06 plate and just got it back on the road Love the van nice theme too, that’s the thing there’s always different ideas to come up with haha
@@dannystrange7202 lolol are they that much now(wow)……brown paper and pva go rock solid Danny,I’ve not had a problem with any damp in my van but for you or anyone reading this…..a top tip if you are worried it might get damp on the inside of the doorcards, you could buy a can of something called plastidip(it’s a rubber based paint)you can stray it on anything, that would 100% stop any moisture….but I’ve never had any issues👍😉
Hi Danny,I’m after changing the front end next year to a T6.1 I haven’t done a video in along time,I keep meaning to…..I’m in the middle of getting an old 2002 Mercedes Vito back on the road, needed a lot of work, welding ect(done it all myself)it’s the father in laws he bought it just to go fishing in(Day van)so I probably should of made some on that lol thanks for the message by the way👍😉
@@CampervanAdventures that will be a great watch mate as I’m also interested in doing the same to mine. Look forward to seeing the upgrade. Mercedes Vito I’ve seen a few conversations now they fit out quite nice and look comfortable. It’s great being handy saves a load of cash and it’s rewarding. All the best pal 👍
I changed the vans front end from a T5 to T5.1 about 6 years ago but after giving it a newer look and either a spray job or wrap. But I will deffo do a video on it all👍😉
Cool idea to use PVA and brown paper.. How has this held up? I've just pulled mine off and replaced/fixed handle & cleaned rollers and locks, works better now than when I bought the van 15 years ago! Interested in doing something like this.. Cheers
My sliding door catches the body work always has,got afew plans for the van so will be back on with you tube videos again soon…..not made any for awhile 👍😉
@@CampervanAdventures I spent probably 3 hours cleaning and figuring the mechanism out. It's a 1 finger close job now. Looking forward to come new videos mate. Cheers
@@Goonit83 my doors never been a one finger close lolol I wish…..I’ll get back on the videos hard to find what people want to watch now so many Campervan channels now hard to find new stuff👍😉
Loving this Paul!..... Could've done with you falling in the river, or Sam pushing you off the wall, though. 🤣. Seriously, you've got a great channel, fella!👍
Hi thanks for your comment most appreciated, hope it was helpful or informative……if you haven’t already please consider subscribing,I’ve got more videos on the van and my mystery car I’m after getting back on the road(but not made any videos for awhile as I’ve been dealing with afew things)Thanks again Paul
As always buddy exceptionall quality and patience like welding plastic and dremal all bits of to start with but it paid off looks sweet with bling trim and the little suede accents on stuff but fir me a can if plastikote black to spray the door cards maybe because I'm lazy and no patience I woukd have not dreamed of taking them off and just painted them on the door hence why your jobs always mint and professional! 🤣
Lolol cheers eccie lad, still lots to do……thinking about opening up another channel later this year. But it will be about doing up the R in the garage…….that channel might get some views👍😉
Nice job Paul, especially the trim dye. I've definitely decided that that is a job l can do😁. However as l'm so old l will be waiting for the better weather to arrive 1st🤣. Those wrap accents are sweeet.... Good job 😁👍🏴🇬🇧
@@johngracie1960 cheers pal(I’m starting with a sore throat, ear and headaches but I’ll fight it….my poor mum and dad endured worse)cheers for you well wishes….hope it works out pal,go for it send pics…..I’m toying with the idea of making a second you tube channel.I don’t know if you’ve hurd of a Nissan gti-R before but I’ve owned one since 2005 and it’s sat in my garage and has been off the road for about 13 years. There very rare now and I’m coming round to the idea that the old gal should see the light again, but I don’t know how much interest it would generate……I can see me being able to produce alot of video on it as it needs some work but this is the main channel, just thinking about it👍😉
@@CampervanAdventures Finger's crossed for you.... Yes I know of the Nissan, very nice... Go get it done it's definitely worth the time and it will give you the get go to get her sorted.... My daughters doing up her GTO Twin turbo at the moment. Following her Dad though she's paying for hers to get done😂😂. The last car l did up was in 2000 - 01 when l was serving at Sandhurst l did up a Daimler V8 250 god l loved that car. Wish l'd kept it😁👍🏴🇬🇧
That’s a good point thanks for being that up Bob….yes I do carry some of the old wheel nuts with my trolley jack in my little so called garage in the van lolol….There deffo smaller. Thanks for the comment Bob👍😉
Hi Paul, I’d never heard of flocking and love the look of that flock wrap it stretched so well and no creases or bubbles. Might just give that one a go. Thanks for sharing. ATB, Sue 👍
Morning, here that looks like a cracking option, loved the contrast with that colour in the van..... Interesting to see it applied to other areas for sure. Loved the high angle... Take care bud from a wet, windy and sleety Northern Ireland 😁👍🏴🇬🇧
@@johngracie1960 lolol hi my mate, yeah this weather seems to of been the same for so long now…..yeah deffo guna get some more, the colour is growing on me.Think I’m guna do the vents and centre console part see how that ends up…..also be interested to see how it cleans up if it gets dirty, the darker colours would be fine I’m sure…..but that colour is growing on me.Get some John give it ago, tell me how you get on with it….be a nice little project for you.Take care, stay safe mate👍😉
Hi Paul good video as always you deffinetly don't mind messing about you should be a monk with your patience honest to god after 2 min messing under there I would have hammer out smashing that bolt to bits along with rest of van I'd have started smoking again and had 6 brews and I don't see you have 1 brew nothing you can't fix pal brilliant informative video
Are you sure there was only the 2 bolts✌️..... (closest emoji l could find) 😂😂😂, Paul that looked a real pain and baltic as well🥶. Good post though as who bothers with the spare until you need it, and by then it's usually to late. Definitely better audio, but keep going with the Gopros.... 😁👍🏴🇬🇧
Cheers my mate, yeah the GoPro thing was deffo my fault(it was in a watertight case lolol)so deffo didn’t help.Yeah it’s deffo worth checking,as you never know you should of seen my wheel that was under there, very rusty the wheel that’s on the video wasn’t up to par,but I give it a good going over👍😉
😂😂 That was a difficult one for a deaf old girl like me.... had to watch a bit, rewind and listen and carry on like that. Mind you defo getting one of those emergency puncture kits. Very handy 😁👍🏴🇬🇧
I’ll always have a video about something my mate…..there’s always something I want or needs doing. But I’m open to anyone who wants me to cover something…..or if there’s anyone out there that would like to send me something to review,I’m up for it lol.Cheers for the comment mate…..wish I had more👍
Happy New year Paul to you and your family.... I'm sure 2021 was difficult for you all... So here's to hopefully a much better 2022. BTW " Even you can do that John" had me wetting myself. Great to see you back on speak soon buddy, especially about your 3d printing😜😜😁👍🏴🇬🇧
How do John mate,Happy new year pal…..yeah it’s been a bad year really, but you’ve got to keep going eh.I had a disaster with the last badge lolol I tried to form it abit better on the grill and it shattered,I might have to form it like before but tie wrap it down until it hardens totally…..we will get there mate.Take care stay safe, give your wife my best to pal😉👍
