Been to NZ about 2 weeks ago and have to say that the Wanaka tree is the BIGGEST TOURIST TRAP in New Zealand. Naturally I was not expecting much as its just a tree on a lake - but whether its in the water or 4m away from the waters edge like we saw it doesnt matter. ITS A WASTE OF TIME..............................

Great video. But, did you get a permit to fly the drone around National Parks. Nugget Point has no drone signs all over the place.

I've always wanted to visit this spot ever since seeing photos of it in Trains Magazine as a kid. I'm a landscape photographer who also photographs railroads (and a general railroad enthusiast) as well, and being able to combine the two is the ultimate goal, and this is one of those places that brings out a lot of non railroad photographers because of how gorgeous the scene is!

Wonderful idea, thank for sharing! I am just now returning a pan and tilt head which I purchased for vertical panos because I had to use the quick release plate on my L bracket to get the correct tilt orientation. You should have more subscribers --> subscribed!

Already got my like at Twizzel. Twizel, pron twy (as in why) zil (as in zylch, nadda, nothing). Good humoured nudge from a kiwi living locally. Anyway, back to your vid. Thanks for the laugh 😁🤣 I think your pronounciation sounds way more fun!

Try pronouncing Twizel as Twy-sell and not Twissel …… which is a cheese flavoured chip ;-) really happy you love what our landscapes have to offer.

Thanks for the info. I just bought a Neweer Pro Pano Gimal to do vertical panos and realized I could have bought their 44mm low profile ball head and a L bracket for much smaller package to carry around.

Ha. Ive owned an Arca Swiss PO for around 5 yrs. I never thought of using the head and a L bracket that way. So simple as well as obvious & illusive at the same time. Like always I never stop learning. Many Thanks

I have been to Mount Robson a dozen times or so. I have never seen it in full view, for it is always shrouded in fog or low clouds. Maybe you will get lucky the next time you visit this beautiful area.

Just today I've been trying to do vertical panos. Great tip about using the notch on the tripod head. I was thinking I would have to buy a special pano head in addition to the nodal rail I already have. I knew there had to be an easier way!
