I started playing this game near the beginning of aventurine’s banner and now I’m gonna be caught up by the end of today. There is so much main story though speaking as someone coming from Genshin.
AKHDHLF this scene was so fucking lit i !!!!!!!!!!! i just about died in game at this. Jing Yuan has all the best entrances and lines and everything else basically. i loved it so much
Genuinely an almost perfect boss, it forces you to exploit a mechanic that has always been here in order to not die, the boss gives you the tool you need to handle it, this with it explaining how the boss works while also not feeling too hand holdy, it's bulky but not an hp sponge, the music does make it feel like a genuine intimidating threat and the difficulty is almost on point. And that last victory rush phase with the lyrics coming in to give you the push to go all out, all while you can feel Sunday also doing his last effort, with your companions encouraging you and him doing that ominous countdown, making it feel and be a race to see who defeats the other side first It has only 2 flaws imo, one being more of a personal preference, that being that Sunday's big attack on the 3rd phase should've been a one hit KO and making him slightly slower so it really feels like a final last stretch, and the other being that the music cuts a bit awkwardly at the end And that's without mentioning how good it is in the story, Penacony's writing has flaws but nothing that severely damages the experience,

The flaw with Misha appearing in the lobby right away, when we first enter the lobby in "reality" was something I forgot about and didn't even take in consideration when answering these. Honestly, this plot twist and how Penacony's story is structured is some of the best story telling for something relating to dreams.
There's still plenty of loose ends here: - What in the actual heck happened to Adventurine? He WAS put in "Dormancy", but who pulled him out? We still got no explanation of where he was after he was "killed" and him calling Jade at the ending. - Just WHEN did Dan Heng actually get stuck in the dream? When he entered Penacony the first time with Boothill? And even THEN, how did he wake up alongside the rest of the cast for the final battle? Did he, or did not actually have the encounter with Acheron when she was suggesting to warp out? (and what was the real result of that conversation, if it wasn't to use the Jade Abacus?) - Did the Dream Master simply escape after Sunday was defeated? 2.3 leaving a lot of holes to fill.
letting the suicidal dude with fucked up hand dexterity and traumatic flashbacks that strike at any moment behind the wheel is so funny to me. jokes aside this is one of my fav moments in the game. Blade’s is a fav of mine and I like seeing him more humanized here.
I still can't believe mihoyo didn't gave a single break in the end of the AQ, its like 2 hours and 20 minutes without a way to take a break. and the worst is that there was no warning to it.
God that brief few seconds of "if I can stop one heart from breaking" hits so fucking hard. Huge fan of the power rangers/sentai/kamen rider shit too I NEED like an epic orchestral version of the song. It hits way too hard to only give me a taste
