Eek! Please don’t scrape the metal bell of your stick blender on your crock pot 😮 Not only sounds dreadful but you’ll be scratching your cooker 😢. Am curious to know if your first Milk Soap’s milk was unfrozen, to get such a reaction? // The very second soap I made was a Milk, I froze the milk quotient, and the resultant diminished lye fumes inspired me to freeze all my liquids since. That was 14 years ago…no going back. Your Salt Bar sounds luscious - wonderful ingredients. Actually Coconut 🥥 Oil is ‘cleansing’ as opposed to drying. If you use a 20% sf for your Coconut Oil quotient you’ll account for that extra cleansing quality and create a more nourishing bar 😊. I’ll do that in my Salt bars and leave any other oils/butters at 5% - it just requires an extra calculation. Worth a try. 😊// Looking forward to seeing how your bars turn out, as I’m only part of the way through your video. 🌸

I am a 18-wheel truck driver that does flatbed.... I've been looking and studying soap making since August. I bought the makesy soap kit in August. But haven't found time to do it. Me and my wife live in the truck. I've been looking for hot process videos. Your channel came up. I've been studying since August... And have a few books. Thank you for your videos.. please don't give the trolls the satisfaction of their posting comments. Ignoring their comments is far-reaching than saying something about it. God bless and I hope you continue making hot process videos..

@valerieholdrensoapundergro9357
@valerieholdrensoapundergro9357 3 года назад
I don't always do that, May, but I smoothed it out with a little glycerin primarily to keep from adding water to smooth it with. The glycerin is a great additive, but I don't always use it. I just prefer smoothing my molasses a bit before adding to my batter because it's a bit thick, much like honey is.

Good evening, Teacher Valerie! I'm very sorry to disturb you again. I've been going thru, watching your tutorials and Teacher Valerie Mosher's as well. I find that, every time, I revise all these tutorials, I learn something new, I can understand HP better. Teacher, I notice that you will off your crock when the temp hit 200+℉. Actually, this fact has been bothering me for quite a while because I wanna keep my batter moist. Therefore, is it alright for me to off my crock too, when it's at that temp? Thank you in advance, Teacher Valerie🙇🙇🙇🙏🙏🙏 I'm so very sorry to disturb you! Very very sorry🙇🙇🙇🙏🙏🙏 Teacher, you are very strong and wise, so treasure your loved ones,who you are having now. You will meet your little flower when it's time.

No problem May. You caught me before my turn in time. I choose to turn my crock pot off almost as soon as I get my volcano because my crock is so hot that I feel it will keep it warm enough. It's always possible to turn it back on if need be but rarely have to. Just keep the lid on as much a possible and keep the sides and tops misted in between stirs. I feel that turning it off keeps the batter from drying out too much.

@valerieholdrensoapundergro9357

Thank you, May. I normally do wait until my temperature is 170 or below; however, because I wasn't adding honey or fragrance, per say, nor was I wanting to achieve "fluidity" for a design, I really didn't focus on the temperature. Had I added honey, I definitely would have waited to prevent "scorching".
