ive had it for a year now, the only thing to do about the weight is to find a comfortable strap. im happy with it, theres no cheaper alternative for 600mm

I was makng alot ot misakes gi begin with but i started with a 75-300mm and. Was desperate for tbe extra reach right away i commented on your 600mm video quite recently i am getting the ef version i was not good at balencing the light go begin with then got the 250 which i had my hear stolen in Amsterdam
Hi! I'm on a budget, and been thinking to get this 55-250mm lens. Can this lens take some descent photos of birds/animals from a distant? like how far are you to get a close up shot at maximum focal length? thanks.
Hi. I have just bought this lens from mpb. Tested it recently and the pictures were great. But I noticed that, I couldn’t take the whole picture of a building across the street. I have to move far, far backwards. Even to take a full picture of someone, I have to move far behind. Is that ok with this lens?
Can I just say that I wholeheartedly appreciate you letting the lens speak for itself for the first couple of minutes of the video. Your shots are absolutely amazing, and I like that you even included your "mistake" which I thought was pretty artsy too, but it also just shows what it looks like when *that* happens. Specs is one thing, but seeing it all in action that extensively is another, and that's something a novice like me really appreciates :D
bought this lens together with a R8 as i had to retire my M50. tried using this lens with the M5 and the auto-focus did struggle. with R8 it works well. mostly shooting handheld. only mount it on a tripod when shooting the moon. definitely a step up after spending about a month with the TTArtisan 500mm f6.3.
Too bad but nice that it works with the the R8. I haven’t had too many issues with the autofocus with my m50 luckily but I find it is better to use for bigger subjects. I find it harder to focus on the smaller birds if they’re moving super fast. How do you like the R8?
Love the R8 considering it feels lighter. I think its tad lighter than M50 also. hardly use the M5 nowadays. i still carry it with me though as back up just in case its drizzling. rather have the M5 get slightly wet than the R8.
Wondering if 250mm is enough for me to take wildlife/bird picture. Im my country it seems to be hard to get any decent 300mm budget lens and looking forward to get this lens. Anyone have any feedback if the 250mm is good enough reach for me. Currently using the 18-135mm and the zoom doesnt reach far enough for me.
