Never had the pleasure to meet him in person, but I have become friends with a few musicians he shared the stage with as well as a co-star from All Together Now, and they've never had an unkind word to say about him. The man had the talent to be world famous, but chose to stay humble.
I was an amateur photographer. Both of these were a never ending source of encouragement. Two really down to earth beautiful guys. Phil is sorely missed. He was a gem.

I was 12 my brother was 17, he always played this song on Saturday nights before he went out to town. Great memories, the boys at work also were moved when I played this song the other day, just like the song, nothing wrong with jeans, t shirt and mullet. great days, great memories, thank you for posting
I thought the same when the record company sent it to me. As soon as I heard it, the beach pool came to mind straight away. And on the day the weather was just perfect for it. Couldn’t have asked for a more appropriate backdrop.
Wow, never heard Phil and Tommy play this one. Wish they'd done a world-tour. The musicianship, connection, love between them is the ultimate 'Q' factor...
Margaret this is real class you don't flash anything but show what REAL talent brings to the eyes and ears. Went to a gig in Brisbane and she you danced all night too right you did the energy was unbelievable and audience blown away your Olympic training gave you the strength and energy to keep on and your voice was soo innocent. Best night ever. I'll never forget
