I shift click the BA, then shift click the Daishi in that screen. Only Omnimechs, and or a mech with BA handholds can carry BA. And you can see when each get highlighted. The Daishi gets grayed out after I select the BA, showing me I can attach them to it. I hope this help if not I can make a quick video.

The Naginata has a C3 master possibly 2 C3 masters that's where some the tonnage went , plus full armour and jump jets , kind of the perfect mech to stand behind a hill contributing some indirect fire while holding your C3 company net running
Dracs be loving their PPCs , SRM 4s and Medium Lasers with shout outs to Large Lasers , LRM 10s and 15s . Can't think of a Drac mech even a variant with a RAC of either type not even the Mauler

33:48 oooohhhh heavy PPCs pretty much a Kuritan Weapon but sooo good the 15 heat and actually doing 15 damage is worth the weight in Classic easy , Snub Nose is great too on mechs fast enough to get within medium laser range
Marauder IIs arent all that imo id prefer any S model Banshee off the top of my head , i mean at the most basic level they are just a Marauder with a larger autocannon and a shed load of armour
The Circinius Federation being every where is the weirdest thing to me about this game . Like they are a small bandit kingdom where the Lyran Commonwealth and FWL meet .

I really don't think you should replace your archer with a bigger mech. Swapping assaults in isn't always the way to go, especially when you have limited drop tonnage. The only thing that should replace your 2Rb is the 5CS variant: you encountered it when your pegasus ate shit against ComStar (and your pilot got a year long recovery period). The 5CS has 4 LRM15+A, and while it has an XL engine, it's an archer, you aren't gonna run it in melee. Gotta say, compared to the tabletop where you can refit mechs into other variants, hunting down a specific variant is such a chore in this game, due to hardpoints being a thing (and therefore some variants being objectively superior due to the customization potential).
Agreed. I'll start looking for that variant. It sounds very viable. Yes it is extremely hard to hunt down specific mech/variants. I could wiki where I could buy them though but some are restricted in faction stores. Any Nova Cat variants that could replace the archer or just go after the 5cs?
Well, if you're tossing in clan stuff obviously it changes the equation. Since a chassis has the same quirks among variants, you obviously want the one with the most hardpoints. At minimum, the nova cat B has 6 missile ones. The Bane 3 is very funny because it has 8 LRM15s. That longbow variant you just encountered and mislabeled as a long range fire support had 26 missile hardpoints, loaded with RL10s. If it's easier to source a 5CS, it's good to go from the get-go, 4 LRM15 is pretty good, though it doesn't have the tonnage to mount a LPPC in place of the mediums iirc. And upgrading it with clan LRMs means you save 14 tons, or 8 (!) if you switch to 4 cLRM20 instead.

I would never bother putting BattleArmour on a Dire Wolf , BattleArmour needs to 'get there' if a Dire Wolf 'gets there' it's all over either way for you or your enemy
Oh but there is. It's essentially leveling up the pilot for absolutely nothing. Current character in the BA will run the Jagrmech. It also can help forcing an enemy turn if I needed it. And Artillery BA will be coming. 😉
I feel we're missing a mech lab ......... With the next playthrough I feel try not get too ahead with the recording to airing . And yeh 100 odd episodes seems about right , like you could play one playthrough forever but what would be the point of that
Mechlab gets merged with regular episodes from now on. I may have missed a timestamp but I usually out them in. Main reason for this my time to do episodes has been cut short...life. it may return in the future as a separate episode but for now it's going to be a part of the regular.
