Tigress , home to Laurel's Legion an all female regiment who hate the Davions , we just ignore the 15 years they 'reliably' served the Davions (in the dark days before Clan Wolf got all the plot armour) .
I am not sure about the mission balancing. This was a 3.5 and just seemed to through waves of medium mechs at you. It didn't really threaten you bar the occasional shot at the behemoth and the salvos on the building, but they didn't have the fire and staying power to get anything done. Then again, some of the 4 skulls missions really seemed to be just throwing a few bullet sponges (assaults) at you with no dynamics.
Yeah unfortunately the AI does fall short on certain mission types. Defense mission types the AI generally goes after building but if you or your allies shoot at an enemy that enemy will now target your lance and allies so you can exploit this to some extent. Now, I asked this question to the main developer of the mod about mission skulls and seeing only mediums. He explained because the force I was fighting(Comstar) they generally field lesser tonned mechs but they field more units so it kind of makes sense, but my expectations are high with higher skulled missions as a player.
I forgot to mention, and maybe it's just me, but you are a bit too quiet. I have to crank up the audio to the max on my phone, even with headphones. Otherwise, good content. Keep it up
Thank you. You're not the only one who has mentioned it. It will get addressed in later episodes I just can't say when since I pre record all episodes a month or so ahead of time but thank you for the feedback. I will continue to improve on the volume and quality!
Yeh the massive time gap between when you record and when it gets released is a thing ......... Ive turned my comments into general observations and advice that can be used later as much as possible ........ Like theres so much you can know about BattleTech its a thick subject , hell theres plenty in this mod that id have to learn
Yes! Trust me I've listened to your advice. I wish I could do videos and have them come out right away but I'm extremely busy so this is the only way for me at the moment. The heavy striker lance you've help me build doesn't get deployed until the 60ish episode. (Looking mechs/equipment) but it does happen!
Feels like the ComGuards 6 units per "lance" kinda hurts their ability to bring anything heavy ........ Ive kinda got a WoB force and its a pain in the backside trying to balance out a level II in Classic vs Inner Sphere or Clanners where as Inner vs Clanners balances out at a Star (5) vs 2 Lances (8) ........ Its like 6 doesnt go into 5s or 4s no matter how you slice it
Yea, funny I asked the head mod about this and yeah it's intended due to Comstar generally drops lighter and there's more of them. I was like change the values 😆 cause I want more of a challenge. I find WoB stronger than Comstar so I'll probably target them a bit more if I can. The Clans seem more of challenge even when they drop 5 units per.
As you popped the Trebuchet i was "why does anyone rate that mech its a worse Whitworth thats ten tons heavier ....... Sure its got LRM 15s but they only shoot for 8 turns instead of 12 which equals out anyway , youve got a ton of LRM ammo sitting in the left torso by itself with less armour , oh you can run faster but lose the ability to Jump ....... The Dervish is worse than that and 55 tons 😂"
ComGuards are not an elite army their only 2 plays are to use their technological edge or just throw resources at the problem , and they've pretty much lost the first answer by this stage
Yeah, what I was referencing was their units that they can field. So they have three units in this mod: 7th Army V-Iota(Garrison Unit=low tier) , 11th Army V-Eta(Regulars=mid tier), 2nd Army V-Mu (Elite=top tier) But I do get where you're saying about ComGuards overall.
