Hi I'm Rob and welcome to my travel channel. I've been travelling for years. My goal is to provide the most informative vlogs about the places I go to. I do mainly guides and reviews on hotels and resorts. I mostly travel to the Philippines (my favourite place!) particularly around Cebu and the Visayas area. I also do my hometown of Melbourne Australia. Follow me as I show you the best of travel and hopefully find that piece of paradise out there.... Please use the guide and hotels reviews as a reference only as information may change over time. These are just my opinions.
@FindingParadise you're welcome, I've been having some swelling and pain issues with my foot related to gout, finally seeing some resolution after a couple of weeks. You might ask the doctor if he can have your uric acid levels checked.
Rob do you recommend this resort? Isn't far from white beach and D'mall? I been looking on this resort for awhile now but I still have doubts. I'm planning of coming to Boracay for the NWYR.
Funnily enough I'm working on working on a video of that resort now. I've been a bit behind with editing as I've had some issues with my ankle which I've been seeing a doc about. The place place is a bit far from the d'mall. They do have a few free transfers from the resort or you can pay for a tuk tuk outside the resort. For the price the place is ok. But I'll go into more details in the vid. Hopefully soon.
Rob you're awesome vlogger and appreciate you for chosing Cebu Island for the most part. Last but not least, you always have lovely Cebuana's and pretty gals. Are they available lol jk I miss all my Cebu childhood friends. Good vibes! Love it!
Watched this for the first time! Every time I watch these early 2020 videos it takes me back to those times. Definitely PTSD will always be there for what we went through with COVID!
Times I wanna forget! I don't even want to go back and watch those videos! Thanks for the buy me a coffee too! I am keeping off the alcohol. I check with the doc tomorrow. Cheers
As of Sep 30,2024 the longest bridge in the Philippines is Panguil Bay Bridge. CCLEX is just a connector or link with a pan of 500 meters main bridge, a short viaduct and the rest is Causeway. Soon they'll be eclipse by Panay - Guimaras-Negros Bridge and Cavite - Bataan bridges. Cebu-Bohol might be but not yet approved
It's starts sometime around late Feb/early March and I noticed it was starting to clear up later in April. By May Station 1 and 3 cleared up a lot. Station 2 still had quite a bit of algea around. You know with mother nature you can never 100% predict it
Most people stay in Panagsama Beach that's where the action is. Club Serena is a bit north at White Beach which is a nicer beach and more quieter area.
"Have you worked out there?" "We're not allowed, Sir" came the reply from the lady at The Lind Boracay. Rob Brand not only interviews staff to extract almost every snippet of useful information to travellers one could think of, but he also - without going overboard - injects a bit of Australian humour into his explanation. Rob also tells it as it is: if the weather's less suitable in say September, he'll inform us. In short, Rob is a first class reviewer who doesn't lace his videos with irrelevancies. Another example was when reviewing Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa, Rob opined that the coffee wasn't 'quite as good' as an alternative, but 'better than a coffee stick'. Compared to those ubiquitous airline business class reviewers who gush about everything but never state any downsides, Rob's videos are 100 times better.
We stayed at the Crimson resort, excellent hotel great food,,top staff very expensive but you can enjoy the hotel with a nice variety of options,, it’s just down the beach from Shangri-La resort,,😊
Another outstanding video. Rob shows and explains everything. I agree the rocky mini-coastline is a downer, as is the rusty ship: hopefully the latter is no longer there. The infinity pool looks huge and fabulous.
Thanks, I did show it in the video. The owners can organise it for you as well. They were charging 2,8000 for a car (3 pax) when I did it. Not sure if it's the same price now. They do have a facebook page you might want to contact them on facebook.com/TreehouseDeValentine for more info.
