Partmaker is better, I used Esprit and Esprit TNG (which is a little better) for 9 months and hated every minute of it. I would even opt for using Bobcad over Esprit.
Hey great video. I see this is a few years old but could you do one like this on setting up a rotary axis in esprit also. Does this format carry over to work holding setups too? Maybe you still see comments on this video it has been helpful for me thank you
This video is 5 years and who knows how many updates old. Why is this still on the main KBM webpage? Many of these buttons are obsolete. Can we please get some updated tips and tricks videos?
We are using Esprit Edge with our new Okuma Multus with lower turret and link calculation is very slow, like 4 min to calculate links in 70 operation part. Is this normal or can we do something to speed it up?
The problem I have had in the past with cycle time, was that if I adjusted the tool change time to 5 seconds, the simulation would wait the 5 seconds. Even if you had the feed and rapid turned up. Has that been addressed? When I run simulation at full speed, I do not want to wait 5 seconds per tool.
@@user-be4ld8vb1o There is not "the best". Every program has it's benefits and it's downsides. You have to pick the right program for the job. It's like a hammer and a screw. You wouldn't take a hammer for a screw. It wouldn't work. But a hammer for a nail works perfect
@@nico3064 I agree to an extent, but they're all pretty terrible for how much they cost or the drawbacks they have for the (lack of the) money. As far as information and videos online, Esprit is nearly invisible, went on their website to download a trial version with a valid email and password... doesn't work ...MasterCrap has a TON of videos but in almost every instance they have what they're instructing you to do premade and don't have any instructions about how they got there in the FIRST PLACE. Gibbs seems, solid but suffers greatly in any muli-axis stuff, not much available online either. Tried Bobcad a few years back and I must say, their toolpaths were pretty powerful BUT the caveat was the lack of structure in the basics. Drawing simple wireframe geometry was a nightmare. They sent us DVD's...nuff said.
this is not a good video on how to create a template you already HAD templates that YOU ADDED to your espirit my contention is how DO YOU CREATE A TEMPLATE FROM SCRATCH.
Hello Esprit, why are you not making videos? I have used Esprit cam software for over 20 years. The TNG is a huge step forward. It has some flaws that need ironing out, but has much more brilliant innovations than flaws. When I show other machinists what it can do on our horizontal digital twin they are blown away. Even life long Mastercam users are impressed.
Thanks for the videos! One thing I have noticed about this video series is that the "ESPRIT Tutorials" bar on the right side of the screen fights the process of watching these sequentially. When watching "Part 2" like this one, the next video it jumps to is "Part 1" instead of progressing to "Part 3". Obviously not the end of the world or anything, but being able to cruise through these in order could be significantly smoothed out by reordering the list, if that's possible.
