I seem to have ended up with better axles installed, without the set screw and it's falling out problem, the pins are pressed in. I also ordered the one piece pinion, that will e3ven more peace of mind. Those two issues seem a bit cheapo on RC's part, but boy can this thing crawl.
I’m down for either a VRD Carbon or Xmaxx raffle. I store my E85 in 55Gal drums. I was able to get them for free from local auto shops (old oil drums) and bought a pump on Amazon that fits the drums to pump fuel out. Sounds like an awesome project. Good luck with the build
Sounds good, we’ll get something going when we get back from vacation! That’s the way to do it, we only use the spray jugs because they’re free and hold 250 gallons. A electric pump is definitely a requirement lol 🍻🍻
I have the 2000kv axe r3 on backorder right now. I have heard good things about it. Unknownrc is in early development of a lcg chassis with a angled skid, carrier bearing setup and single speed transmission for the scx6
The motor is a sensor less motor, and the esc is configured to run in sensor less mode. So I can’t hook up a sensor, but I will be getting a castle sensored motor to test soon! 🍻🍻
Im done buying Vanquish products. Having a 4 minute window to order before they sell out and allowing people to continue to buy two is nothing more than a promotional stunt to reward a few. But it seems all the youtube channel folks were able to get them...
I spent 15 minutes during the initial drop getting mine (they broke the website and it took a while to fix it), and that first drop sold out in 4 minutes then they added a second wave the first day. It’s extremely frustrating for sure! 🍻🍻
Will be interesting to see what mine is. Weight says 12.9 lbs. Finally shipped Monday and is scheduled for Friday. Was hoping for an Optic or a Carbon. Guess that means the Optic is out lol. Congrats
It's hard to say really, I've seen that weights don't really matter as someone has gotten 2 builders kits in their box. I was sure I got a stance or fordyce in the 12# box lol. Hopefully you get what you want! 🍻🍻
Any chance you can measure the width of the ascent body at the cab and at front and rear end? Looking at possibly mounting one slammed on a friends vrd carbon and chopping the lower mid section off below the body line. Been looking online with no luck, thanks. Great review by the way 🤙🏻
