I was thinking of bugged airshoes alongside emotion bug. Because panel bug cause cracking and airshoes cause hole seems a good way to get a breather for this boss attack while players focus on landing their hits. Since a lot of the flames just don't come out when there are holes are in front and behind Megaman. Seems to me in Team Protoman, Proto and Magnet souls has a better chance of dealing decent damage for this boss. Chips that comes to mind for proto soul is Wide Blade, Long Blade, Cust Sword, Katana and Moonblade. Magnet Soul for Elec Reel and Voltz. These two souls seems to have synergy when it comes to chips in same code. Gyro Soul feels rough because you practically have to devote an entire folder for just gyro soul. As far as Navi chip goes. Feels like Searchman, Colonel and Numberman are good. This is oddly where S code shines the most because 95% of the chip library interacts with the ground. Oh and there is Sanctuary and Holy Dream. I just don't know how lucky can players pull out both chips in like 3 turns.
Protosoul would have been incredible if they didn't nerf the i-frames thing from 4 but it was for the best, lol. And yeah unfortunately, without full synchro/chaos unisons, i don't think there are enough tools to get 4k damage done in 30s. Perhaps, I should try a chaosunison attempt one of these days.
lol, it is kinda thematic, isn't it? I used to think frags were rewards for counter hitting in battle like BN3 but I just defeated ShadowmanOmega yesterday (who is legitimately **uncounterable** in 4.5) and still got them so I guess it's just S-Rank bonuses.
To his credit... his only misplay was losing LifeAura _immediately_ but that's because I sent the command to start charging a ChargeShot overwriting the default dodging pattern. >_>
I believe the hardest boss title in 4.5 goes to Shadowman actually, since they didn't even program in counterable frames for him!! That's on my to-do list for 4.5 videos.
I didn't, lol. In 4.5, you just trust your navi to dodge for you. You are unable to control anyone directly in the original (vanilla) gameplay design. (though in my recent Whisky-No-Chips challenge, i did defeat BassXX in BN5 by dodging buster a few times :O )
What the--this isn't Legacy Collection! Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation was a sidegame launched between BN4 and BN5 that never localized to the US. Instead of Lan, you play as yourself, and instead of controlling one of the TWENTY ONE(!) playable navis, you instead advise them on which enemy to target and how far away to stand from them _and hope to god they don't do anything stupid while dodging_. Which, hey, they always do! That's why this battle took me 7 hours of attempts (that's *including* speeding up the filler text and animations). ._. ! Next time, when I face Bass XX in 4.5, I'm totally just gonna save state before the fight itself, lol...
If you have any advice on how to deal 2000 damage in a nice, flashy way when there's less than 5s on the clock (while maintaining "the no patch cards, no chaos unison charge shots, no non in-game hinted items" ruleset) I am more than happy to take suggestions. :) Do note that the first approximately 25s are spent dealing on average 300+ damage per chip while dodging perpetually passive hitboxes, though. So you've not much wiggle room with your answer. I'll wait. ._.
@@rebycVG If your point is fast kill, the emotion bug exploit is the way to go, but as a viewer, this seems like a boring way to win fast. Is more awesome to see how you can kill it normally, without exploits.
You're not wrong. ._. But like I said, there isn't much wiggle room here. The Emo Bug advice actually came from the folks at TREZ when I asked how it's possible to do 4k damage with the above conditions, was not considering it before that. That's also why it's practically a necessity in the Bass XX No Northwind No Dmg challenge. There's not enough chip damage to take care of both the regenerating barrier and the 4k HP. I should warn you in advance that there's an upcoming BN5 SearchmanSP video that also utilizes Emotion Bug since Searchman doesn't allow Counter Frames on his initial grenade throw moves. Btw, i'm gonna feature your comments in an upcoming vid later. I think it'd make great clickbait, lol.
Lmao, yeah, I realized I can utilize my multiple attempts by having a "throwaway" clip as the preview. Saves me the headache of choosing which one to cement the video's legacy with.
Thank you for noticing. ._. I actually rerecorded the attempt a few times just to get the Dragon to to launch from the center so it looked cooler (that's why i stepped to bait the snake at the end).
Can you elaborate on what you mean by +1 "LC stole my copy of fastgauge *"? Very well done, especially from everything with the soul timing to get to the right turn for your bugged emotions to actually timing the bugged emotion correctly.
Ty, Harvey! That was a mistake on my part. LC stole my copy of NorthWind * which is part of the trade chain. Trade chain chips cannot be traded to other players or the Chip Trader machines (to prevent softlocking) but BN5 in LC also has a chance to randomly just disappear away your Northwind *, lol.... Ironic... So that's why in my BassXX video, I don't use Northwind *. I don't have it and am unable to get it via other means within the confines of the game as a solo player. But I made do, inevitably. FastGuage * on the other hand is only available via number lotto trader but the code itself isn't found in-game. It's found via IRL guidebooks that you had to purchase, lol. Ergo, illegal for my run. And yeah! Emotion bug is so finicky and while it takes patience and good timing to pull off, I do feel it's kinda cheap and low skill since anyone can do it.
@@rebycVG Huh, I guess since I always just entered the whole list of lotto codes on replays I never noticed which ones weren't shown in game. That is certainly some extra layer of challenge. I also didn't know that about Northwind, and that is definitely an unfortunate chip to suddenly disappear.
Right!? I also learned from watching Dirge's most recent Nebula Gray video that ColChaos's DarkTrumpy will immobolize him! Considering using that strat for a cool kill with it but it'll need to be with Emotion Bug, unfortunately.
Part of the reason was cause of the limitations I gave myself (Fastgauge * is not available in vanilla play! [number lotto code not hinted at in-game]) in the description. You can find the details there. I think it took me like 9 hours of attempting to get this recording. I also _really_ wanted a freeze frame finish on the dragon launching attack. "How did you determine it was an S-Rank?" I'm glad you asked. ._. I counted the pixels in the Custom Bar and calculated how much time passed on a frame count basis. Estimated deletion time came out to be about 26.1s. "How did you know to Anti-Thunder?" I guessed. ._. "Why was it the hardest?" The time, actually. BN5 gives you so few good tools compared to BN4 (EV Synchro, multiple NumberBalls, AREAGRAB FOR ONE). Like the Boomer battle chip induces flashing now for crying out loud. I was having a VERY difficult time trying to get enough damage in to hit the sub30 threshold without chaos unison chargeshots. The fact that Nebula gray's hitbox just straight up peaces out from the field for nearly 40% of the time was a big damper, as well. Had to use a Humor Proc to catch that last 2k HP before time was up. Thank god, this is over. ...or is it? (This was wayyy harder to finish vs DuoSP, lol.) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--Qdd47-iyFg.html [PS - Reupload. Don't mind!]
Wait. It peaces out when behind? For some reason I remember being able to hit it with stuff that hits to the right like if you throw geyser in the bottom right it will hit if when it is around it. Or straight shots like a Giga cannon. But I most likely am remembering wrong since it's been a long time since I played that game.
Not a fan of FolderBack? Trying to thin the deck? Too OP? Wrong version? I just feel like an extra copy of FullCust that also puts your FullCust and itself back in play is too good to pass up.
Honestly, this was recorded so long ago, I genuinely can't remember LOL. I know I used it at some point in the playthrough. Maybe I felt it was too much of a copout? Or maybe it ended up getting in the way (since Folderback recycles old chips back as well). I _think_ the Bass vs. Salamander (not yet uploaded) fight might have had it but I forget, lmao.
Remember this video vs Drillman? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3WOAwV6TRNY.htmlsi=-SJ5dvNssL68p1hd Well, there's more where that came from. ._. (And as a teaser on top of the video-end teaser, it doesn't end with him either... >:D)
@rebycVG no just the tomahawk swing can do upwards of 200 damage. I used to torment my friends with area steals and panel cracks. I could down my friend with 5000 hp in like 3 turns because the axe covers a 3x2 space then just blast then with wood seeds.
@@user-ir5ex2zp8o Ahh, that's what you meant. Yeah the whole point of this video was just to push Col Soul to the absolute limit outside of obstacle spam. Gridman was a good target cause of how annoying his fight is. I utilized Tomahawk Soul extensively in the Nebula Gary Omega S-Rank video that has yet to be uploaded.
@@user-ir5ex2zp8o Not with ColSoul, lol. He has superarmor, his clones lock you out of arealock strategies, and his movement pattern isn't step based like the other BN5 navis. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-szji-_hEBac.html Otherwise, he's super easy as seen here in just base MegaMan form.
