My car was hit while parked in street by bt van the guy drove away but thankfully a local lady saw it left his number and note on my car eventually he confessed to it . I lost my no claims the repair was 3500 so serious hit.
Good grief, that you can buy such a car (even once repaired) for essentially $4K Aud is simply crazy. Out here such a car would readily go for I reckon 4-6 times that much. Such prestige cars in the UK are absurdly cheap.
Personally I went fir a Lexus, with ordinary suspension. Even then it's a gamble.....ageing cars with expensive parts. Reel you in and then present with a fault?
Absolute bargain. They are a great car with a timeless design. I would switch it to coil overs , service the engine , brakes and transmission and then it will perform for years to come.
This is why, if Labour get into power, I'm switching gender. All the reflexes and spacial awareness of a man, but with the timid and defensive nature of a man dressed as a woman. Putting the heels in heel-toe. #rackANDpinion
I love the grounded reality of this channel!!! Retirement took a toll on my finances, but with my involvement in the digital market, $15,000 weekly returns has been life changing. AWESOME GOD ❤️
I feel sympathy and empathy for our country, low income earners are suffering to survive, and I appreciate Marc Andreessen. You've helped my family with your advice. imagine investing $30,000 and receiving $95,460 after 28 days of trading.
Jack - I'm sure you know this already, but you can do a coilover conversion on these. Obviously you won't quite get the quality of ride as a working ABC system, but it is a fraction of the cost, and eradicates a problematic issue with the car moving forward.
In 1966 - ‘67 a BMW 2002 was my dream car. Father in law convinced me on a Volvo 144 in 1968 as more practical. In 1973-74 I bought a Fiat 124. Twin cam engine, 5 speed transmission and 4 wheel disc brakes. Also leather interior. I always liked 4 door saloons although I also had MGB’s. This was the closest to the BMW. Great on the turns and Abarth made a sweet exhaust for it😊
Beautiful Motors, Jack take it to a independent Mercedes Specialist = same parts / Service history cloud & they actually go over the cars but alot cheaper, I'll never take my 2015 Mercedes ML W166 to dealer again it's like night & day , Great Video
How is it that whenever I see a silver Mercedes I think "piece of absolute shit?" It is long time since I have seen or heard of a Mercedes that isn't crap. It is such a shame because a long time ago they used to make really decent cars - so what happened. Please explain. PS he just explained it. Typical European crap put a lot of useless crap in the thing and don't worry about if it works or not in the long term. The Pommies have done it ever since the 1960's. The French - Citroen enough said and the Germans with these monstrosities from the millennium years. NO wonder no-one in their right mind will touch a European car any longer. It looks like long live China right?
You cannot believe how many people told me to stay away from this coupe. My mechanic was the worst! I went ahead and bought a 2003 CL600 !! The worst of the worst apparently. Twelve-cylinder, twin-turbo financial disaster, WITH ABC. EIGHT years later, I still love the car. ABC has NEVER had an issue. I did have to replace a radiator years ago, but truly the best car I have ever owned. And it will run like a house on fire! Tesla-like torque. It will throw your toupee into the back seat while launching. Enjoy one of the best cars ever made!
No we did not. Opel ( Manta Gsi Exclusive 2.4l Irmscher) also an flop and the Toyota Supra where US inspired "sportcars" as to compete with Camaro. We do not regard any Camaro as to be an sportcar but pheraps maybe a GT: Grand Tourismo. Porche? What? Put that "thing" against a pin striped Chrysler/Talbot Sunbeam Lotus hatchback...
I'm so pleased this car is being 'saved' It's the cleanest looking I've seen in ages.....gorgeous interior.. and history...looking forward to your vids.......
Best of luck with your new purchase! I can’t wait for the review. Usually hydraulic pumps can be fixed with a new set of gaskets. So don’t overpay. Look for someone that can CNC copper and there’s your gaskets.
I remember when these Supras first came out; they were such an improvement over the Mk1 Supra and the styling was miles better! Such a nicely preserved example here...great color, no cracks in the dash and the upholstery looks very good. I think many of these examples have perished over time due to rust or ill-advised mods as the cars get ever-cheaper on the used car market. These deserve to go up in value and represent a milestone in Japanese cars finally getting the respect they needed at the time. Thanks!
Oh, and at least in Southern California, those multi-adjustable Supra seats were highly coveted by car thieves!! Swapping those seats into your Celica was the ultimate flex!
I don't know man... 46,730.04 pounds sounds like f**kload of money for routine upkeep... On the other hand it's hard to resist considering what you're paying for it. I suppose that the true value will be revealed when the Merc folks do a full diagnostic. Not sure what bated breath is but either way, we'll be waiting with it!
I remember driving from Vienna to Budapest about the year 2000/2001 in my then new Porsche and being fascinated by the performance of a car I hadnt noticed before (this CL500 or 600 AMG?). Went to the local Viennese Mercedes dealer after that. To my astonishment they seemed rather reluctant to sell me a car, resp take me seriously (!!!)
Non fault incidents do not always mean it was an unavoidable Incident, therefore statistically speaking that driver is more likely to claim in the future. FYI I’m not an insurance broker!
I tried to get 3rd part fire n theft for my car. It was more expensive than fully comp. After my car was written off, I bought it back and fixed it my self. Now they value it at £350. Makes me want to just not have insurance. But that will just cause me more problems.
