Dude careful what you wish for. You want to turn the island into a colorful rainbow of people. Guess what? A rainbow only shows up after a storm. Again, keep the heritage of the island. Leave the island when you want to go to a gay bar.
I’ve lived here for 22 years also and have agree with most of what he says, but also some of these things are also positives as that’s what makes the island different, it’s a slower pace of life , you might not have huge choice in shops but you have plenty of stores that deliver here, and companies that will do ikea runs etc. it’s beauty is it’s uniqueness and it’s doesn’t suit everyone but it’s a wonderful place to live and I have no regrets. I can spend the end of any day sitting on a bench by the beach or walking the scenic pathways, you want the designers shops and the masses?… go for a day trip to Liverpool on the boat or the plane .. fill you boots with shopping and traffic and come home to tranquility. If you know your name is going to be published if you mess up … well behave yourself and it won’t be ! ( and we have a hospital in Ramsey too )
