Hi brilliant good clear instructions. One question I've have a couple of spare timers, the clock won't switch on tried reset but no joy , power light on but no clock funtion, had them awhile but not used. Regards Mick
Hey Mr. 12 volt. So glad you’re out there. I think this latest Nav unit is getting a bad rap don’t you? Briefly I just bought a new RS and ordered one of these units. Only used it once so far but was impressed. I asked Scott @ Nothing To Prove why he has both his paired phone and a SIM card in his Connected Ride Nav, and he said something about real time traffic updates. Is it true that you need both? I thought maybe my paired iPhone was enough, but if there is some advantage to paying my cell carrier for another device I would certainly do that, and just discontinue it over the off season.
When I try to log in it tells me security reasons I myst reset my password. It sends a lunk toy email but when I create a new password it says Network error. Please try again later? Several days later and the same thing keeps happening so I cant log in?? Does anyone know how I can log into my account without getting tbe Due to Network error we cant change your password at this time. Try again later.
It is a shame that someone does not make a product like this in a simple form without the cross wiring. Great video showing how to get this timer to work properly.
When I import the route I made in Basecamp, it gives a "route not found" warning. Route plans with *.gpx extension do not work. Does anyone have any suggestions about this? The important thing in Navigator is to prepare our daily route plans in advance for long trips and upload them to the navigator.
Hi, excellent video. Thank you. Could you tell me. Could I set this to come on for say (4 times) a day for only 20 seconds each time. It would help me if you could answer this. Thanks
Thank you so much very helpful. I now purchased a fused box to work my garden water features…question is will I now make the fuse bow the power box to the 12v up pumps? Ie when it says power I will use the box instead of powering up units from battery?
Can you use this as a timer? Just set it for let's say 15 minutes. With press of a button timer starts, after set amount of time it turns a 12 volt solenoid latch on. I want to press the button and then after a set amount of time a latch releases a door that is connected to a spring that is pulling on the door to open.. as soon as the latch retracts the door is opened. But I want this to be timed based on how much time I set the timer for. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks for this video. Having used Nav 6 and issues around route imports I have now got the Connected Ride navigator. Will be interested to see how you get on with the route import. On the Nav 6 if you didn’t start at the beginning of the route it would either continuously try and navigate you back to the start point OR if you directed it to take you to the finish it would disregard the route and direct you via the shortest route. Hopefully this issue will be resolved. Please update when you follow a route and how well it works. Cheers
Hi I've set my time as described, but in top right corner their is a icon of some sort,my time won't turn on. Also when I look at it the next day their is icon under week like a,,
Got mine this morning, and it came with the latest software (v1.0 1). It seems like a solid unit. But getting it to work properly with my Cardo Edge is proving to be difficult. The Cardo and my phone work fine until I add the Nav. Then my music is lost. It cuts in and out for a few minutes, then seems to be ok. But i then lose the promts from the nav. Same old issue I had with the nav 6. 😢
I wish BMW would get real world riders involved with the development of these things and put more effort into coming up with ways of making it easier and better when connecting to other devices. 😖
Are you adding the cardo to the nav unit and the phone to the nav unit? If you also pair the phone with the cardo then it will conflict and not work as expected. It needs to be phone paired to navigator and then cardo paired to navigator. Do not pair the cardo to the phone. Mine works fine configured this way. Apologies if thats how you’ve setup already.
@LookingForward2Yesterday The problem with not connecting the Cardo to the phone is you then can't use the Cardo Connect app. 😢 They get you all ways.😖
@@davepyer yes, that’s true, I didn’t consider that. I’m actually a Sena user, but it’s the same problem there too. I actually only connect temporarily and then discard the bt connection I use. Not ideal, but worth it to have a reasonable experience with the connected ride nav.
This POS was the worst $900 purchase I've ever made for my R1250GSA, (unless you want to know your motorcycles lean angel). This units trip information is pathetic. It only displays what your TFT displays. No GPS speed or altitude. You do have lean angle. It's really helpful when your on the interstate, (NOT)! The map sucks. You need a wifi connection via your phone hot spot or with its own sim card. (Which fails with no cellular service, i.e., northern Ontario). This is also an added expense not mentioned. Save your money and buy a Garmin XT2, screw the wonderwheel. Even with the adapter for your cradle, its hundreds less money.
The map sucks? I read that you download the maps to the device (like a smartphone) and then you’re good. I read that you need the sim for live traffic updates
Got one today and all the issues mentioned are fixed in latest software update. Audio streaming is perfect and good quality, both through earbuds and sena Harman Kardon helmet speakers. Routes and tracks import and useable. Syncs quickly with phone app. I’m afraid it’s not been road tested, but it’s working all the routes and tracks out as I would expect it to, just thought an early update on what seems like improvement would be useful. I’m pleased with it. I’m on V1.0.1
I think once you’ve got one you’re better working with it and maybe using workarounds for some issues and simply grow with it as the software updates keep coming through. I think it will continue to improve with time and as more features are included. It’s very user friendly in terms of phone, playlists and gps being easily accessible…more so than the TFT, which tends to get bogged down with too much content in the audio or not updating phone content etc. I went from an RT to a GS and not having to use an integrated screen and having phone linked by WiFi to enable gps is a big improvement for me. The Bluetooth link to the connected navigator is much better and much more stable.
Set 1 up after watching cu tube couldn't get it 2 work now I know y do I have 2 use a reley if its 4 a chicken door using a actuator that stops on its reach cheers
This thing has been the most disappointing $900 purchase I've ever made for my GSA. The navigation map sucks. The motorcycle info is minimal at best. Required sim, or cell phone hot spot just adds complexity for no valued reason. Save your money and get a Garmin XT2 instead.
you should have the GPX Files from Basecamp on your PC/Mac already, you can just use those. alternatively you can access the device from Basecamp and pull the GPX Files and waypoints back off it.
There are several problems with the Connected Ride Navigator see: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mm7YOKqfPmY.html&ab_channel=SvenOlsen
oh thats getting close to what Im looking for. I want something like this that I can put between my 12v 100ah battery and my 2000 w inverter to switch it off automatically , otherwise itll hum all night even though the lights Im powering automatically switch off themselves and the inverter continues to run on idle unless the power switch is toggled or the battery is disconnected.

I have a problem with the battery discharging after 1 or 2 days when left on the bike, is it the same for you ?
Would there be a way to reverse it so you could just control the ground circuit so u could have 90 s on and 10s off while just interrupting the gnd circuit
This saved the day TY....I almost spat the dummy and sent it back thinking it was faulty as the wiring configuration given showed + - in the power side then + - out the switch side!...edit - for anyone with instructions that show L and N for wiring.... the L is positive and the N is negative.
