This is quite an old video but I thought it worth sharing, it was my take on the automatic chicken door opener/closer that you can find on the internet. Made with a motorcycle battery, 2 12v timers and a car aerial.
All parts were sourced from Ebay apart from the battery which I had. It worked surprisingly well, worth mentioning that the car aerial was a universal job and I had to rewire it because it was really poor quality and the wires inside kept breaking. once replaced it served us well for about 3 years. It has now been remade using a light sensor and only 1 timer. I'll maybe post that up sometime too!
