Minor correction; the lasers are used for aligning the machine. The machine is a linear accelerator that delivers non-ionizing radiation in focused beams.
I recently came across this video and feel compelled to share some encouraging information that should bring a sense of optimism. Call it an act of kindness or simply meddling on my part-it's up to you. However, it disturbs me to see people suffer from life threatening health conditions. Although my following statements may seem bizarre, you must understand that it needs to be this way to reach you. Some things are just too difficult to say here (if you know what I mean), so please write down the capital letters from the following paragraph in the order you encounter them. Then, study and divide them into individual words to form a coherent thought. Understand? Okay, here it goes: Frogs Often Leap Lightly Over Water. WILLIAM has More Adventures by Keeping In Shape. Ostriches occasionally Need X-rays. Fish Often Rest Comfortably while Ants Navigate Complex Environments Rapidly. Cats Understand Rules Easily Sometimes. Some people find it hard to decode so I will translate part of the message but cannot completely translate. I hope you understand. Follow William _____ on _ for ______ _____. many blessings. 👍
@@beautifulmess165 Always! Fighting cancer is what keeps me cycling! When I think about those kids waking up every day battling it I ride even harder. Those treatments aren’t easy, so thank you for sharing your journey so others can gain strength and insight to keep moving forward. You’ve got this Lisa!
Thanks for posting this, Lisa. I hope you remember me from your UMUC days. I remember you fondly. You and Michelle were/are two of my favorite UMUC people. This video shows real class and has important insights. And some good humor --- your comment at the end about not wearing a hat in the Texas heat really struck me as funny. Yeah, forget the hat. All the best. Jerry
It's Mindy - I'm so sorry to hear you are battling cancer. We will pray for you and the family. I don't understand what it's like to go through cancer, but I do understand the loneliness. I have an "invisible disease", Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgia Encephalopathy, which has lowered my immunity, significantly decreases my energy, and even some in my family doesn't understand. I guess I wanted to let you know your feelings are valid and to let you know, you aren't alone in feeling them. Is this a God stop? 🤷♀️ As Kojak said in the TV series "Bald is beautiful baby".
Lisa, This is Beth and Tim- no longer hailing from Okinawa , in Massachusetts now- Anyway. We stumbled across your video message and we want you to know we will be praying for your complete healing. You are so strong and so vulnerable at the same time- you are always real and that truth comes through as you speak about the cancer rollercoaster ride you are on. You are putting yourself out there to help others…. That is beautiful! YOU are beautiful!! If you feel the need to get away from that Texas heat please know you have a room ready for you here on the East Coast!
Thanks for sharing your experiences with the world, so others can have insight into what you are experiencing dealing with your fight with cancer. It takes a lot of courage to have what can be extremely uncomfortable and honest conversations. Everything you shared is eerily familiar and the struggle is real. I will keep and your family in my prayers. Stay strong and keep fighting.
All great suggestions. Especially taking electrolyte drink, and the lidocaine/prolocaine cream. Round #5 (final) coming up Thurs for me. My treatment started in January (only the capecitabine pills then, during radiation) and i had to bring gloves because the pills made my fingers (everything, really) hypersensitive to cold. Now that I'm taking pills plus the oxaliplatin infusion that side effect is even worse. I would add: cell charger and 10ft charge cord. And if you feel like writing a letter while you wait, take a clipcase. You can stash stationery and pens inside. Stamps too, if you want to mail it from the hospital. And candy bars fit too. Hang in there. Thanks for these videos. You are helping people.
Isaiah 53:5 King James Version 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 King James Version 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
I'm so sorry you are going through this. I'm a retired nurse and I feel for you. I have two friends who are on their cancer journeys for leukemia. Hang in there! I'm rooting for you. ❤❤
"Thank you for sharing your journey with such honesty and courage. Wishing you strength and positivity as you continue your treatment. Your updates are truly inspiring!"
