Looks amazing 😍 will try. I only have traditional oven ( no fan) how much temperature and how time will i need? Also when before Christmas should i put icing and marzipan?
😅oh and also how long can the cake stay up to after adding fondant,am making a weding cake for my brother and they want to keep the top tier for there first anniversary is it possible ?
Made 3 of these today , it’s my first foray into Christmas cake and I can’t believe how amazing it’s they’ve turned out . Your unabashed love for the cake is what sold it to me , thank you ❤
@thiruchelvieliathamby958 could be number of things... like, opening oven door too much, not eveningly coating fruit in cake mixture and/or using raising agent.
I feel cheated by these chefs 😒 all these years of blind baking my pastry! Tried your recipe today convinced it wouldn’t turn out great, boy was I wrong. Didn’t soften the onions, no blind baking, only tweak I made was adding a bit of cream to the egg mixture and a few gratings of nutmeg!!! 🤩 it turned out fantastic! Best quiche I’ve ever had! Thank you 😘
Gregg make a stottie in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear. I so miss them, when I go up north on holiday I freeze as many as I can then bring them home. Birdy
Yes I did it that way then tried it my normal way, It happened both times? Not sure if it was the sugar as I never had caster so used granulated, and on first go used 6 eggs but then you had said 7, So I will have to try again just means I have to eat more cakes 🤷🏼♀️
It's 6 eggs. Are you checking with a skewer or knife to see whether it's cooked properly. If the skewer comes out clean, it's ready. If not, then cook further xx
@@MysteryBaker Thank you so much for your response! I wasn’t expecting you’d respond to a comment on an older video, so it’s a great surprise! I feel much better about making this dish for the first time now 😄
Hi, after having a great success with the cheese scones, i am very sad to say that the fruit scones were a disappointment, I dont know what i did wrong ?! I followed your instructions and recipe to the letter but they did not rise very much and were quite dry and crumbly. I would appreciate your advise on what I could have done wrong. 😢
Oh I'm so sorry it didn't work out for you. I'm going to be doing a lemon scone recipe in the coming weeks, so keep a look out for it. I'm not quite sure what went wrong, did you use cold butter? Xxx
Just got my first successful batch of cheese scones out of the oven, many thanks for your easy to understand teaching, will be attempting the fruit scones next 🤗 xxx
Cheese & Onion Quiche is my favourite and it’s hard to come by a decent one nowadays. I really want to make my own but I’m rubbish at pastry. I hope this method works out for me 😂
Little tip place a tray in oven when heating oven. Then place quiche on tray. The heat from tray will help cook the bottom of pastry. Give it a go, I have every confidence. 😍
The Hand whisk has been discontinued, but it's a kenwood brand. The food processor was a cheapie, but has lasted several years. The brand is Moulinex, you don't need to pay a lot, so don't be tempted to pay for anything over £50. Xx
